Jailers know that locks usually stay locked. But when Paul and Silas were sprung from prison, one jailer learned otherwise, causing him to ask, “What must I do to be saved?” In this message, more on prison doors flinging open.

Paul took Silas and Timothy and went to preach in Macedonia. Their first stop was at Philippi, where the Spirit’s power was evident. Among those who believed was a merchant woman whose heart had been prepared by God.

The Bible calls the gospel “the power of God.” The word “power” in Greek is the word that gives us “dynamite” in English. That power began to be felt in the early church, and today we begin tracing the impact the gospel made in the first century.
