Living With Your Passions
In a hyper-sexualized culture, sex is either reduced to pleasure-seeking or conflated with our identity. But God designed us as sexual beings for emotional and spiritual intimacy whose highest calling is to worship Him. In this revised edition, Pastor Erwin Lutzer draws on forty years of ministry experience to present a rationale for sexual purity. He gives an honest answer to the sexual pressures we face like extramarital relationships, self-gratification, same-sex attraction, and more. As desire-driven creatures, we don't have to pursue happiness at the expense of character. With our identity grounded in Christ, we can live victoriously with our passions. Some Christians believe the walk of faith should bring them happiness and prosperity.  Yet Jesus’ own walk included suffering. To walk where Jesus walked means walking in Gethsemane. Here, a decision was reached that made salvation possible.

On a high mountain, Jesus gave three disciples a blinding vision of the future. Moses and Elijah appeared with Him, symbolizing Jesus as fulfilling both the law and the prophets. The experience was so powerful that, years later, Peter wrote of it as being “on the Holy Mountain.”

Can Satan bind a child of God? Can a Christian sell his or her soul to the devil? This message will deliver some frank talk about the limits God has set on Satan’s domain and why the victory of Christ is complete, as we’ll learn from Matthew 12.
