There's no doubt: all who name the name of Christ are in a lifelong battle. We have an enemy who never gets tired. That's why we've been given the armor of God: five pieces for self-defense, and one weapon with which we can strike back at Satan. That weapon is the Sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, a weapon that can cut to the very heart of man, convicting of sin and birthing new life.

It's tough to not know who your parents are. Many kids are wounded for life by never knowing to whom they belong. It's also tough to grow in the Christian life without the assurance that you are a child of God. Some say salvation can be lost, regained, and then lost again. Today: why it's so crucial to settle the question of knowing you have eternal life.

We've all heard the phrase, "a mind is a terrible thing to waste." It's also a terrible thing to let fall into Satan's influence. Someone else has said, "What you think, you are." It's vital to protect our minds from the devil's attacks. And the helmet of salvation is just what we need when doubts arise about our status as God's children. Today: how to use yet another piece of the armor of God.

Taking the gospel of peace to a world under Satan's dominion: that's a sure way to find yourself immediately at war. The devil sets his sights on any believer obeying the command to take to gospel to another person. Only by having the peace of God within, can that believer withstand the attacks of Satan from without. Today: more from Paul's teaching about the armor of God - our equipment for victory.

Inner calm: it's great when everything around you is a swirl of conflict. In trying times, peace is what we need. And peace is much more than just a sense of well-being. It's basis is what Paul calls "the gospel of peace," good news that gives us assurance of a future that will transcend our daily stress. Are you experiencing the peace of God today?

It's one thing to believe that the righteousness of Jesus can be credited to our account before a holy God...but it's another to put that knowledge to use when we find ourselves sinning every day. The devil keeps accusing us of falling short of God's standards. Today: some practical ways to wear "The Breastplate of Righteousness."

Inside, we all know that the slightest sin separates us from the white-hot purity of God. And we all commit sin. Satan the accuser points to us as Christians to say "Look at you. You sinned again. You have no right to stand before a holy God. Give up...there's no hope you'll ever see heaven." But there is one way to stop his foul mouth cold. Today, you'll learn what it is.

The first lie ever told: Satan in the Garden of Eden. "Has God said..." the serpent hissed, planting seeds of doubt. He's still hissing that same old song today, trying to get believers to either doubt the scriptures, or, ignore them altogether. It's all part of his strategy in "The Invisible War." We need to wear "The Belt of Truth" to ward off these demonic temptations.
