Real worship is about ascribing worth to God whether we feel like it or not. Sometimes our prayers are not answered the way we’d like them to be. We can learn how to pray more effectively by looking at the prayers of Paul. Usually you’ll see a disconnect between the kinds of things he prayed for, and the things most of us pray for. We focus on our physical needs, while God wants to work on our motivations. Let’s learn to pray for the things God wants for us by praying His Word back to Him.

It’s amazing that the God of the universe wants to have a close personal relationship with each of His children here on Earth. Isaiah wrote, “They that wait upon the Lord shall run, and not be weary…”. We gain strength for life’s race by waiting on God through prayer, but only if we make it a priority. Today, we’ll find out what it means to have a consistent, meaningful prayer life.

We have all seen the ad, “A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste.” For a Christian, the mind is a crucial battleground. We can’t run life’s race if our minds aren’t disciplined. After the Millennial reign of Jesus, heaven literally comes down to Earth in the form of the New Jerusalem. This spectacular city will be the eternal home of the redeemed of all of the ages. This is what Jesus referred to when He said “in My Father’s house are many dwelling places.” The Holy City is beyond imagination, but today, we’ll attempt to grasp its wonder.

An eternal hell isn’t easy to grapple with. Many people find the idea repugnant. But the Bible teaches that there is an ultimate lake of fire. When all is said and done, we either believe what the Bible says, or we reject it to our own peril. Today we’ll learn about the judgment for those who’ve never heard the Gospel, and, the judgment for those who did.

Revelation 20:15, “And if anyone’s name was not found in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” The idea of final judgment offends many people. They can’t conceive of a God who would send anyone to a fiery hell. Let’s take a sobering look at what the Bible teaches about the final destiny of all who’ve never believed in Jesus for salvation.
