Living With Your Passions
In a hyper-sexualized culture, sex is either reduced to pleasure-seeking or conflated with our identity. But God designed us as sexual beings for emotional and spiritual intimacy whose highest calling is to worship Him. In this revised edition, Pastor Erwin Lutzer draws on forty years of ministry experience to present a rationale for sexual purity. He gives an honest answer to the sexual pressures we face like extramarital relationships, self-gratification, same-sex attraction, and more. As desire-driven creatures, we don't have to pursue happiness at the expense of character. With our identity grounded in Christ, we can live victoriously with our passions. The love of God was put on display when Jesus died on the cross for our sins. Christ’s sacrifice was visible that day in Jerusalem, and today it’s visible by faith to those who trust Him for the salvation His death purchased.

Christ’s defining moment was His death on the cross—a horrific price paid for our salvation. And for that, we must be eternally grateful.

Genuine authority flows from within. Jesus Christ had the kind of authority we feel even today, two thousand years after He walked on Earth. How can He still command such devotion?
May 19, 2015
In all of history, no one has ever projected the authority Jesus had. People were either drawn to Him, or they wanted to kill Him. Even today, there’s still no middle ground. Why is that?
May 18, 2015
Real miracles include raising the dead, and turning water into wine—the kind of miracles Jesus did to prove He came from God. Jesus was a Man whose claims to be God were validated by His miracles.
