When you become a Christian it is your responsibility to tell others about Jesus. This may mean that you have to enter uncomfortable situations, but it is more important to obey Him than to be comfortable.

Women are tempted in many ways and can also tempt men. Rather than giving into the world’s temptations we need to focus on what God has given us at our home or job or wherever else and be the person He has called us to be.

Men and women in the dating scene need to look for someone who has Christ living in them and through them because it is only in Christ that anyone can have His characteristics. When Christ lives in you, it is possible to combat the sin struggles and overcome them because you are no longer only human.

We may not be able to fully understand someone else’s point of view, but we can extend love and forgiveness because Jesus gives us the strength to do so. We must stop looking through prejudiced eyes that see people as different and start seeing everyone as welcome to the family of God.

Jesus was the fulfilling sacrifice to appease God’s wrath for all of our sin, and it is His blood that washes us completely clean. Since we are forgiven of our sins we can now run in such a way as to win the prize in Heaven where Jesus will put a crown on our heads that we can take off to place at His feet.

Once we become a Christians it is essential that we find a church to plug into and get involved through service. God can use whatever is in our past to touch someone else as long as we let Him.

The Bible says that we must do what we’re told and it is not until we obey that what we told makes any impact. If you are struggling with knowing what to do when you read Scripture, ask God to help you truly hear what it says and then respond in obedience.

When Jesus died on the cross He purchased our salvation and now freely offers it to each one of us. We may still mess up after we accept that free gift but because of His grace we can get back up and follow Him.

When we accept God’s forgiveness for all our sins, we must then move forward to the abundant life He has called us to live out. People will notice the change in our lives when we let go of the past and hold onto the hope of the future He has promised.

In this day and age we have so many churches, also known as orphanages for new believers, but not enough disciples making disciples. If we are really followers of Christ then we will put away our fears and obey His calling to make disciples.

Many people have a fear of death but if we are Christians we don’t need to fear because we can know that we will be in Heaven for eternity. Rather than wasting our time in fear or ignoring other peoples’ fate, we must tell them about Christ so that they can live in the same hope.

About Richard Ellis

Authentic... Genuine... Sincere... This guy is the real deal. He loves God. He loves his wife Rebecca and his 3 daughters. He loves people. He loves his job. He loves Texas BBQ. He loves an occasional round of golf. And he loves the Dallas Cowboys (but don’t hold that against him!).

Richard grew up as a missionary kid in Brazil, coming back to the states to finish his education. He graduated from Baylor University in 1982 with a BA in Oral Communications, and earned his MDIV in 1985 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, making him the sixth generation of pastors in his family. His early days of ministry included serving for three years as the Single Adults Pastor at the First Baptist Church of Dallas.

Then in 1997, Richard Ellis founded Reunion Church, a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic, non-denominational church in the heart of Dallas,Texas. Dallas needed a church like it. And it would need a pastor like Richard. So Reunion Church was born. And now the radio show and the website (www.RichardEllisTalks.com) join the Reunion Church community under the leadership of this guy. And we’re all the better for it!
