Say You're Sorry - 2A

August 27, 2015

In the first eleven verses of chapter two, we find Paul using words like “pain,” “punishment,” “forgive,” and phrases like, “causing pain,” and “excessive sorrow.”  Obviously, we’re talking about personal issues among fellow believers that must be resolved.

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

There’s a paragraph in the first chapter where Paul reveals that he and some fellow believers had experienced some earlier afflictions that were nearly unbearable. But then he goes on to say that all those troubles only caused them to rely on God alone to be delivered from them. Itʼs one of the many Scriptural lessons in how our Lord uses afflictions to bring about glory for Him, and growth for us.
