God's plan for us was formed before we were even born. But, unless our eyes are fixed on Jesus Christ and His perfection, we will either judge ourselves too harshly, or too lenient. The key is to stay focused on Christ, and what His word says about our lives.

God loves us! This is hard for us to grasp. But, we need to accept His love and respond by living in such a way that we will not be denied the person and presence of Jesus Christ, nor His plan for our lives.

Until we cross the finish line, God has revealed His purpose for our lives. It is a purpose beyond our comprehension and greater than our abilities. Therefore, we need to let it take hold of our hearts and keep pushing forward until His plans are fulfilled.

We are to live for heaven while staying relevant here on earth. To stand for the truth in such a way that all who witness it will see the love of Christ in all that we do. For what we do in this world, matters in eternity.

The Christian life is like being both a sprinter in a race, and a championship prize fighter. We are to run in such a way to receive the prize. And, we are to fight the good fight of faith for the imperishable crown of righteousness.

God has revealed His purpose for our lives through His Word. It is beyond our comprehension and greater than our abilities. But, as the Holy Spirit imparts Jesus’ love, actions and attitudes into us, we can impart His image out into this world.

There is both a practical and a positional sanctification. To be set apart in the practical is seeing the lifelong hour by hour, moment by moment work of God in our lives. Positional sanctification is the moment God has secured our salvation through Christ.

Today, on day 2 of this lesson, Pastor Jack tells us to put ourselves in a place to be needed. To be willing to let God do what He wants to do in our lives. This creates within us and causes around us a true witness for Jesus Christ in this world.

God has a purpose for our lives. It will be beyond our comprehension and greater than ourselves, so we cannot do it in our own strength. It is only through Christ that we can forget the past, and press on towards the future, without regrets!

Being conformed to Christ’s death means a continuous, progressive movement - a daily non-stop nudging of the Holy Spirit within the believer to become more like Jesus Christ, in life and in death.

There are things that cannot be known except through suffering. The way Jesus endured the cross led to the salvation of the world. So when Christians suffer for their faith, they are partnering with Christ in His suffering.
