The Problem With Jesus - He Is Alive! - B

April 21, 2014
Pastor Jack continues in his Passion Week series. Itʼs a collection of studies that examines the person and work of Jesus of Nazareth. In the first two paragraphs of Luke twenty four -- and of course other passages -- we are told of how the tomb of Jesus was found to be empty, and that He had actually risen from the dead! And therein lies yet another so-called “problem” with Jesus: Itʼs been some two thousand years now, and His remains have yet to be located!
References: Luke 24:1-12

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

On today's edition of Real Radio, Pastor Jack continues in his series called, The Problem with Jesus. Itʼs a collection of studies that examines the person and work of Jesus of Nazareth -- all in commemoration of Passion Week. In the opening verses of Mark fourteen, we are told of the well-known account of the woman who interrupts a meal attended by Jesus, so that she could pour very expensive oil on His head. Well, some at the table objected. Yet both she and Jesus knew about the cultural significance of this act of worship.

In observance of Passion Week, Pastor Jack begins a topical series called, The Problem with Jesus. It’s a collection of studies that focuses on the events surrounding and leading up to His crucifixion. Now quite obviously, countless individuals were put to death in Rome. So what makes this Jesus stand out? Why is His death sentence still cited and studied all these centuries later?

Weʼre now in the third letter penned by the so-called “apostle of love.” Throughout his writings -- including his two other letters as well as the Gospel According to John -- we find a common theme: Love. And that includes love one for another and love for our Creator and Redeemer.
