Our Biblical Worldview and War - 2A

December 7, 2016

Is a nation morally obligated to protect and defend its citizens?  Do we avenge and execute wrath on those who practice evil?   Our opinions and emotions can deceive us regarding war.  God wants us to live a quiet and peaceful life, but since the fall of man rebellion has separated us from God.  Our own sin has allowed war to enter the human heart.

Featured Offer

Daze Of Deception
Jesus warned that deception would grow worse as we draw nearer to the end times, saying, “Take heed that no one deceives you” (Matthew 24:4). Distinguishing truth from error has become increasingly challenging—even in the church. We live in a time when falsehoods assault us from every direction. Packaged with just enough truth to make them appear trustworthy, these counterfeits have grown more and more difficult to detect and avoid. Living in the Daze of Deception explores the many ways error is masquerading as truth—and you’ll learn how you can discern the difference.

Discovering our self-worth and value is key to understanding that God cares about us and has a plan for our lives.   Attraction towards the opposite sex is normal and blessed by God but it needs to be managed and harnessed.  We are to glorify God with our bodies because as believers we belong to Him.  Being single does not mean that we can just do whatever we want, we are still to be walking in the spirit and the light of Christ.

Pastor Jack answers questions on the topics that we have been studying in the Worldview Series:  Many of us have questions regarding ministry and the Church.  As Christians, we need to always be discerning in what and who we support by applying the Bible to every issue of life.  All of us are different, including out struggles and temptations in life.  Does our doctrine and character honor God?  Our sin nature doesn’t go away with age, so we must bring every thought captive and let the Lord’s power rule over our hearts and minds.

Since the first pilgrim Thanksgiving and all those that have followed, this was and is a day to give thanks to God, for He has truly blessed this country even though now we’ve almost stopped blessing Him.  As we go to the table this Thanksgiving, let us be thankful for the bounty God has provided us – for our freedom, our family and for our nation.  Also, insert the Gospel as you pray.  Show God’s goodness with gratefulness and share the Good News that He will never forsake us.
