The true pastor is dedicated to building up the church. A Godly leader will bring peace and unity while maintaining a presence of authority. They will warn the unruly with love, comfort the fainthearted, uphold the weak, and be patient with all.

If we have the Holy Spirit in us, then we are walking in God’s light. Those who have rejected the Gospel, however, will be caught off guard, and the surprise of Christ’s return will swallow them in sudden destruction and darkness.

The rapture of the church is a coming event that Paul shares in every chapter of his letter to the Thessalonians. His desire was to bring hope to the church, that death was not the final act. Paul does not want the church to be ignorant concerning death. If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we should also believe that the Lord will come again so we can be forever with Him.
