Spiritual leaders often find themselves in one of two awkward positions. Either people want to put them on pedestals and treat them as idols. Or, they disregard their positions of authority and treat them with disrespect and criticism...often attacking them verbally or, in extreme cases, physically. Such was the life of the apostles - people either wanted to worship them or destroy them. But, the truly sincere and balanced believers of that day held them in high esteem, without worshipping them, and received the Word of God from them with eagerness and humility. In the message "Keeping People Strong Through Godly Leadership" (taken from 1 Corinthians 3 and 4) we will see how Paul sought to keep the people balanced between those two extremes and the practices that he employed as a Godly leader that we all can apply in our lives.
