Jesus had not been overcome. As he walked forth from his prison house, a majestic conqueror, the skeptics knew they had been defeated. Satan knew he had been defeated. After a season, he was appointed to die, but once Christ was resurrected from the dead there was no longer any doubt that Jesus is the only way, the only truth, the only life.
