Stand Firm In Grace

June 2, 2013

Here is the highlight of Galatians:

Galatians 6 Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, you who live by the Spirit should restore that person gently. But watch yourselves, or you also may be tempted. Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Matthew 4:21 King James Version, And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

The same word, restore, was used as return or repent in Hebrew. When we return to our Lord, we are being restored, just as fishermen mending broken nets. God's desire is to mend our church.

Psalm 23
We live in a broken world with full of challenges, failures, and disappointments. As life continues, many unknowns lie before us that can weigh us down, inflicting wounds that often get buried or ignored. We have been created to thrive in our relationships with God, our family, our neighbors and ourselves. By knowing that God is our Good Shepherd, understanding the identity that we have as his precious sheep, we can find rest and healing in our souls. Through this humble book, Healing Through Psalm 23, may God comfort you who are suffering, who are in pain, who need forgiveness; may you know God, walk confidently and grow into the maturity of coming alongside others in their journey of healing.

Many Christians, who have experienced an abortion, will experience freedom in a fresh way. Experiencing this freedom can be strange to some. Our culture is not ready to give freedom to people who have experienced an abortion. Casual and insensitive words can hurt sometimes, but freedom is yours, and does not belong to those who speak without wisdom. The reason there is heavy condemnation regarding the issue of abortion, is because our society feels responsible for the act that is going on. For most people, the best way to feel like they are not responsible, is by putting the entire burden and blame onto those women who (quote) made the bad choice. But this label does not belong to you anymore. You are free in Christ. For many, you know in your heart that it was not even your choice. The best way to live is by safeguarding your freedom from people who are suffering from their own guilt. People, who have their own guilt, will make others feel guilty. Their own debts are not reconciled. In other words, they did not receive the grace, which was given to us freely. Like Paul said, I urge you as well to exercise your freedom. Do not live like a fugitive anymore. You are free, by the blood of Jesus.Jesus answered them. Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever, the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. (John 8:34-36)

Leslie Martin is the wife of Pastor Mark Martin an author, director, and Bible teacher at Calvary Community Church in Phoenix, Arizona.Today, we have Leslie Martin to share with us her wisdom and insight as to how we can be Godly mothers in raising our children in a healthy balance between a Godly life and grace. We would also like to comfort mothers who are in a difficult season in their lives. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ,so also our comfort abounds through Christ. If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings,so also you share in our comfort. (1 Corinthians 1:3-6)

All mothers who are listening to this program, You are precious in the eyes of God! You are fearfully and wonderfully made. You are raising fearfully and wonderfully made children.  To the women who are suffering from our cultural consequences, may God comfort you today. God knows your heart. God is the defender of the weak. But we are more than a conquerers through Him who loves us (Romans 8:37) God will give us the power to overcome these generational sins. We learned through our pain. We shall pass down the goodness of God. Happy Mother's Day! For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:13-14)

Mother's Day is coming up in May and it would be appropriate to talk about 'Mothers' with Leslie Martin who is the wife of Senior Pastor Pastor Mark Martin at Calvary Community Church, the mother of three children, an author and a Bible Teacher at Women's Bible Study. As we are approaching Mother's Day, we would like to encourage the Mothers who are giving their lives sacrificially for their family. The role of a mother can be very rewarding, yet it can also be discouraging time to time. Without understanding the Biblical view of a mother, the role itself is becoming obsolete in our culture. Many of the younger generations lose their desire to become a mother and rather pursue the life can best serve their own interest. Some are afraid of stepping into commitment. The traditional guidance seems unfitting until we get old enough to realize the traditional life is not just traditional but also the nature that God placed in every human being. We want to honor the many mothers who live in this difficult time when anti-family messages are bombarding our society. We want to encourage you today! Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. (Proverbs 31:31)

What is Easter about? Is it about Bunnies or is it about egg hunting? Why are we celebrating Easter? If death is the destiny for everyone, why don't we think about it seriously? The most dangerous deception is we think we are immortal until we walk in the valley of the darkness or one of our loved ones dies. Most of us believe that when we die we will go to Heaven or Hell. Since being born is such a mystery, and dying is such a mystery, we should often think about and invest our life for eternal value. However, without knowing  much about after life, many do not feel that we should invest our life for an unknown eternity.  Our life on this earth is not all, we have life after death. This is important subject to think about despite everything around us.  May God give you the living Hope today and reflect on your life not only eternally, but today as well.  Only hope for those who are hopeless is Jesus who is resien from the death. He is in you. The more you feel you are unworthy and inadaquate, the more you are qualified to share this Good News! The more you share it, the stronger you become.I am the resurrection and the life. (John 11:25)

" Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart." During this session I would like to talk about how I counsel my patients about abstinence education. I often give my teenage patients a copy of the book Apples of God: A Parable of Purity after they have discussed this topic with me. Two other books, Girls Uncovered: New Research on What America’s Sexual Culture does to Young Women and also Hooked: New Science on How Casual Sex is Affecting Our Children have had a huge impact on how I counsel my patients about premature sexual intimacy. I will share how I counseled my own sons about sexuality. Dr. Sawyer

About Hope Ministry

Yesterday Today Tomorrow is the program that covers the current contemporary social issues in the light of our history to understand our yesterday to live fully today and tomorrow. Through the intense research and study, our program shares the message that helps us to think with rational and critical mind. When we integrate our personal life with studying history, historical and Biblical view can help us unlock our yesterday and lead us to see our today and tomorrow with hope and light. When we dwell in the past, we cannot live fully today, but when we forget the history, we repeat our painful history without being informed (paraphrased by Churchill). Please stay tune 960 The Patriot KKNT 5:30 pm every Saturday and 1360 AM KPXQ 7:00am and 6:00 pm every Sunday with Inseong Kim.
