Identity: God's Defination of Sactification

October 12, 2014
Lately feeling the fresh rain in Arizona was like tasting a mint chocolate; it was so refreshing and sweet. Breathing the fresh air definitely helped me in clearing my mind that is clogged by this world that we live in. Fresh cold raindrops seemed traveling all of my nerves and calmed me down as the Good News and His faithful love calm my soul. Incredible grace was a fresh minder of today.

"And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." (Philippians 1:6)

Psalm 23
We live in a broken world with full of challenges, failures, and disappointments. As life continues, many unknowns lie before us that can weigh us down, inflicting wounds that often get buried or ignored. We have been created to thrive in our relationships with God, our family, our neighbors and ourselves. By knowing that God is our Good Shepherd, understanding the identity that we have as his precious sheep, we can find rest and healing in our souls. Through this humble book, Healing Through Psalm 23, may God comfort you who are suffering, who are in pain, who need forgiveness; may you know God, walk confidently and grow into the maturity of coming alongside others in their journey of healing.

Special Guest with Cinthia Hiett, MC, LPC Conversation with Cinthia at 1360AM KPXQ Sun. 4-5 We shared about the biblical approach in PTSD and the gentle touch of Christ through us for those who are suffering. God is our creator who knows everything about us. God is All Knowing (Omniscient). We can find our indenity from Our Heavenly Father, who is our maker. For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. Jesus said to her, "Mary!" She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" (which means, Teacher). Jesus said to her, "Stop clinging to Me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.'" Mary Magdalene came, announcing to the disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and that He had said these things to her. (John 20:16-18) Here, Jesus confirms to Mary her identity, 'I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.'" For Christians prayer is like breathing. You don’t have to think to breathe because the atmosphere exerts pressure on your lungs and forces you to breathe. That’s why it is more difficult to hold your breath than it is to breathe. Similarly, when you’re born into the family of God, you enter into a spiritual atmosphere wherein God’s presence and grace exert pressure, or influence, on your life. Prayer is the normal response to that pressure. As believers we have all entered the divine atmosphere to breathe the air of prayer. Only then can we survive in the darkness of the world.MacArthur, J. F., Jr. (1995). Alone with God (p. 13). Wheaton, IL: Victor Books.God’s love is more like an oil painting process. The oil painting is such a gracious process. When we look at some of the famous artist’ painting, time-to-time we can discover paintings that painted over some of their mistakes. Some of you have experienced pain in your life that seems hopeless to repaint, God can make a master piece out of you. Allow Him to work on your life. You can experience His marvelous power of creation and His loving presence. God loves you!

“I will surely tell of the decree of the LORD: He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. (NASB) Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:11 and Luke 3:22. We enjoyed unusual rain in Arizona. Last night, Steven and I just went outside and watched the rain coming down. The moonlight reflected the raindrops and created a captivating moment. Don’t we all have the moment like thinking "There got to be a heaven?". Please do not think theologically now whether we believe heaven or not. Some moment is so beautiful that we want to be in that moment forever and thinking the heaven must be like this moment or even better. We sometimes wonder, and then God shows up and confirms His presence to us. Second Peter 1:4 says that only those who believe have been made “partakers of the divine nature.” It is only to those who receive Him that Jesus gives “the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12). Thus we can go to God as His beloved children. MacArthur, J. F., Jr. (1995). Alone with God (pp. 46–47). Wheaton, IL: Victor Books.

You have been adopted, and God has never canceled adoption yet. There is such a thing as regeneration, but there is no such thing as the life then received dying out. If you are born unto God, you are born unto God. The stars may turn to coals, and the sun and moon may become clots of blood, but he who is born of God has a life within him that can never end: He is God’s child, and God’s child he shall be. by Spurgeon, C. (2013). Galatians: Spurgeon Commentary. (E. Ritzema, Ed.). Bellingham, WA: Lexham Press. God really carved His time and came down to us, human who rejected and betrayed Him. He is your father. Spend some time with Him when He is still available to us. Do not miss out the special blessings from our Heavely Father. Even if we can feel the life seems so dark, we will understand how precious our life on earth is as we get older. Do not be decieved and live out as a child of God today. You are love by God!

As the growth of dysfunctional family, many people are often struggle with their identity even in their old age. If the identity was not an issue for Galtians church, Paul did not have to necessarily emphasize the identity issue to Jewish christians in Galatia. They were still struggling after they were saved. It applies even today’s society, even to many born again Chrisitans. John 3:1-2, See ahow great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. (NASB)

A Special Guest, State Senator Distirct 20 Arizona, Kinberly Yee shares her passion for Prolifer Issue. When we know who we are in Christ, we can be bold and courageous becasue our God is our Father and He is with us. I mean that the heir, as long as he is a child, is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything, but he is under guardians and managers until the date set by his father. In the same way we also, when we were children, were enslaved to the elementary principles of the world. But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.(Galatinas 4:1-7)

We can experience the true freedom when we know who we are in Christ; We are chilren of God, who is our loving Heavenly father. 4 What I am saying is that as long as an heir is underage, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. 2 The heir is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. 3 So also, when we were underage, we were in slavery under the elemental spiritual forces of the world. 4 But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship. 6 Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir. May God comfort you today and grant you to experience His lovingkindness!
