Today, we close out our long-term study in Hebrews. We’re looking at praying steadfastly over the charter that the writer of Hebrews gave to new believers in Christ; a charter with great contemporary significance too. And while this message was delivered primarily to the congregation of Riverside Baptist Church, it is also most relevant to relevant to anyone who is interested in staying on God’s mission in the world today. Marriage…. It is, and has been a foundational part of civilized cultures all over the world. But, in case you hadn’t yet heard, traditional marriage has become a very politicized subject, with many special interest groups attempting to push their definition of marriage.
In 2006, Pastor Jim, preached a series of messages on marriage entitled, “The Mystery of Marriage”. No, this was NOT a commentary on the current political quagmire, but instead, a biblical review of the origins and significance of marriage. Based in Ephesians, “The Mystery of Marriage” looks at God’s purposes for marriage, the roles and responsibilities for men and women in marriage, and finally, the impact of culture’s attempts to re-define marriage.
So, whether you’re a newlywed, a marriage veteran of many years, or you are just now contemplating marriage, you’ll benefit greatly in hearing this biblical blueprint for the realities and issues of marriage. Join us for “The Mystery of Marriage”.
