As you can see by the title, we're talking about sensuality. To keep us from going down the wrong path, we need to define the word, or at least set the context for its usage in this message. Sensuality pertains to, or is inclined to, or is being preoccupied with the gratification of the senses or appetites. As featured speaker Jim Shaddix shares today, the issue is not the fact that we have the natural desires that God has wired into us. Rather, it is what happens when Satan takes those desires and causes us to misuse or mis-prioritized them in our lives.Series: The Devil Made Me Do It!
Marriage…. It is, and has been a foundational part of civilized cultures all over the world. But, in case you hadn’t yet heard, traditional marriage has become a very politicized subject, with many special interest groups attempting to push their definition of marriage.
In 2006, Pastor Jim, preached a series of messages on marriage entitled, “The Mystery of Marriage”. No, this was NOT a commentary on the current political quagmire, but instead, a biblical review of the origins and significance of marriage. Based in Ephesians, “The Mystery of Marriage” looks at God’s purposes for marriage, the roles and responsibilities for men and women in marriage, and finally, the impact of culture’s attempts to re-define marriage.
So, whether you’re a newlywed, a marriage veteran of many years, or you are just now contemplating marriage, you’ll benefit greatly in hearing this biblical blueprint for the realities and issues of marriage. Join us for “The Mystery of Marriage”.
