Yesterday, we listened in on teaching pastor Jim Shaddix' message to the Colorado Baptist Convention; a message that spoke of the issues and challenges in church leadership, that can cause discouragement in churches of all shapes and sizes. Today, we continue that message as Jim references a promise, and a Power found in today's biblical text; both of which are bound in the process we know as prayer. Please join us as he underscores the absolute need for church leadership to put prayer back on the main burner, so that in time such as these, the power of God can be released, and He can be glorified.
Marriage…. It is, and has been a foundational part of civilized cultures all over the world. But, in case you hadn’t yet heard, traditional marriage has become a very politicized subject, with many special interest groups attempting to push their definition of marriage.
In 2006, Pastor Jim, preached a series of messages on marriage entitled, “The Mystery of Marriage”. No, this was NOT a commentary on the current political quagmire, but instead, a biblical review of the origins and significance of marriage. Based in Ephesians, “The Mystery of Marriage” looks at God’s purposes for marriage, the roles and responsibilities for men and women in marriage, and finally, the impact of culture’s attempts to re-define marriage.
So, whether you’re a newlywed, a marriage veteran of many years, or you are just now contemplating marriage, you’ll benefit greatly in hearing this biblical blueprint for the realities and issues of marriage. Join us for “The Mystery of Marriage”.
