High Definition Worship

References: Psalm 42

Horatio Spafford, the writer of the beloved hymn "It Is Well With My Soul", was no stranger to tragedy. After experiencing the devastation of the great Chicago fire, and worse yet, the loss of his four daughters on the high seas, you might think that worship would be difficult if not impossible for this man. And yet, his absolute faith in a strong, unshakable God, yielded an awesome hymn of worship still in use 136 years later. On Hope For Today, Dr. Jim Shaddix concludes the message "High Definition Worship", and reaffirms the fact that our walking through even the darkest of journeys, can still be an expression of worship.

The Mystery of Marriage
The Mystery of Marriage

Marriage…. It is, and has been a foundational part of civilized cultures all over the world. But, in case you hadn’t yet heard, traditional marriage has become a very politicized subject, with many special interest groups attempting to push their definition of marriage.

In 2006, Pastor Jim, preached a series of messages on marriage entitled, “The Mystery of Marriage”. No, this was NOT a commentary on the current political quagmire, but instead, a biblical review of the origins and significance of marriage. Based in Ephesians, “The Mystery of Marriage” looks at God’s purposes for marriage, the roles and responsibilities for men and women in marriage, and finally, the impact of culture’s attempts to re-define marriage.

So, whether you’re a newlywed, a marriage veteran of many years, or you are just now contemplating marriage, you’ll benefit greatly in hearing this biblical blueprint for the realities and issues of marriage. Join us for “The Mystery of Marriage”.
