Once again, we begin another of Dr. Shaddix' seminary series; this one from the book of Colossians. The series is entitled "He Is Enough: The Sufficiency of Christ in Colossians", and is based on the apostle Paul's 3rd letter written from a Roman prison cell. On today's broadcast, Pastor Shaddix begins the message "He Is Enough for Our Pleasure". We live in a culture that lives for the "quick fix". In situation comedies, there is no problem that can't be fixed inside of 30 minutes. Does this mentality extend to spiritual matters as well? Do people tend to put their faith in the unseen, enduring message of the gospel? Or do they look for the quick fix? Please join us as Jim begins this study on the long-term answer; the sufficiency of Jesus Christ.
Marriage…. It is, and has been a foundational part of civilized cultures all over the world. But, in case you hadn’t yet heard, traditional marriage has become a very politicized subject, with many special interest groups attempting to push their definition of marriage.
In 2006, Pastor Jim, preached a series of messages on marriage entitled, “The Mystery of Marriage”. No, this was NOT a commentary on the current political quagmire, but instead, a biblical review of the origins and significance of marriage. Based in Ephesians, “The Mystery of Marriage” looks at God’s purposes for marriage, the roles and responsibilities for men and women in marriage, and finally, the impact of culture’s attempts to re-define marriage.
So, whether you’re a newlywed, a marriage veteran of many years, or you are just now contemplating marriage, you’ll benefit greatly in hearing this biblical blueprint for the realities and issues of marriage. Join us for “The Mystery of Marriage”.
