As we noted, this is the last message from this series. Today you’ll hear Teaching Pastor Jim Shaddix close with these words. “The Messiah that was born into that manger continues His mission today through you...through me...through churches like this. And it is our high privilege to be a part of the sovereign hand of God in fulfilling that mission.” There is no better way to summarize what we’re to be doing with our time on this earth. We pray that what has been shared here will invigorate your “mission mindedness” in 2012.Series: Manger With A Mission
Marriage…. It is, and has been a foundational part of civilized cultures all over the world. But, in case you hadn’t yet heard, traditional marriage has become a very politicized subject, with many special interest groups attempting to push their definition of marriage.
In 2006, Pastor Jim, preached a series of messages on marriage entitled, “The Mystery of Marriage”. No, this was NOT a commentary on the current political quagmire, but instead, a biblical review of the origins and significance of marriage. Based in Ephesians, “The Mystery of Marriage” looks at God’s purposes for marriage, the roles and responsibilities for men and women in marriage, and finally, the impact of culture’s attempts to re-define marriage.
So, whether you’re a newlywed, a marriage veteran of many years, or you are just now contemplating marriage, you’ll benefit greatly in hearing this biblical blueprint for the realities and issues of marriage. Join us for “The Mystery of Marriage”.
