While this series has the unique title and theme of rewriting our epitaphs, the actual underlying theme is repentance. And this repentance can come about in the life of an individual, a family, and even an entire church body. As he begins this the last message of the series, teaching pastor Jim Shaddix draws our attention to the personal and inclusive pronouns in the title, "me and us". Why are they significant? Because they beg a better understanding of repentance being a personal undertaking of "me and us", and not merely the someone else's in life.Series: Rewriting Our Epitaph
Marriage…. It is, and has been a foundational part of civilized cultures all over the world. But, in case you hadn’t yet heard, traditional marriage has become a very politicized subject, with many special interest groups attempting to push their definition of marriage.
In 2006, Pastor Jim, preached a series of messages on marriage entitled, “The Mystery of Marriage”. No, this was NOT a commentary on the current political quagmire, but instead, a biblical review of the origins and significance of marriage. Based in Ephesians, “The Mystery of Marriage” looks at God’s purposes for marriage, the roles and responsibilities for men and women in marriage, and finally, the impact of culture’s attempts to re-define marriage.
So, whether you’re a newlywed, a marriage veteran of many years, or you are just now contemplating marriage, you’ll benefit greatly in hearing this biblical blueprint for the realities and issues of marriage. Join us for “The Mystery of Marriage”.
