God's grace far exceeds our sin – and is never withheld because of our sin. It's the illumination of our helplessness that causes us to cry out for grace and its benefits.
We need a bridge that allows the righteousness of God not to be compromised, and the love of God to be fully expressed towards God's people. This bridge is called Grace.
Even in affliction God is good, and does good. This is the confession of experience. God is essential goodness in himself, and in every attribute of his nature he is good in the fullest sense of the term; indeed, he has a monopoly of goodness, for there is none good but one, that is God. His acts are according to his nature: from a pure source flow pure streams. God is not latent and inactive goodness; He displays Himself by His doings, He is actively beneficent, He does good. In trials the Goodness of God is the first thing the devil lies about. If he can bring God's goodness into question—the thought life of the believer has be compromised; when the thought life compromises, emotions now can overwhelm you.
The Psalmist was an expert on pain; he understood it and its significance in his life. If we do not understand pain and affliction, it will weary us instead of transform us. It will subdue us instead of propel us. How we think in the furnace of affliction will often determine whether we finish the race or not.
As Christians, our credentials offer us access to certain privileges. They give us access to forgiveness, restoration, blessings and God's presence.

As Christians, we have all been given "credentials." We cannot achieve or earn our own credentials - we get them simply asking for them.
Dunamis is used in many ways, often as the constantly available source of power by God for his church. It is an active energy. We get our word 'Dynamite' from its 'Explosiveness!' It rewrites who we are, gives courage to the fainthearte and makes the timid fearless. The Gospel is God's power.
Dunamis power is found in human inability - when we stop trying to "fix" ourselves and get close to the source of life that will fix us!
The disciples and the church have not turned the world upside down by their own savvy; the billions of changed lives these past 2000 years are not a psychological phenomenon. At some point we come to the conclusion that our way is not cutting it – and we surrender to God's ways.
The writer of this Psalm directs his heart and affections to the only truly safe place. He got a new vision of God, a transforming vision, a new vision of God. Someone has said 'The secret of failure is when we see men rather than God.'
The writer of this Psalm spoke consistently of his afflictions and trials - evil people and their impact on his life. He came to the conclusion that his great hope and joy had to go beyond earthly pleasure and relationships.
Being “renewed” is a supernatural process of transforming the Christian from a life of self-consciousness to one who is transformed into a Christ like image. This process begins internally and works its way out to the external.
We have all been in those awkward situations, where we feel as though people are talking about us—do not fret more times than not they probably are! Self Consciousness often manifests in extreme shyness. This goes beyond simple personality and temperament; this can become an internal sickness.
We see in this passage a battle Paul speaks of, his battle with sin and its indwelling nature. To give it a more modern term—Paul was consumed with Self Consciousness.
The Word of God had an inner man ministry to the author of this Psalm. It quieted his heart and brought a calm into the soul. The Word had an imprint on his soul - it was inscribed on his heart.
