The founder and president of the Christian Deer Hunters Association, Dr. Tom Rakow, shares with Gerry about his testimony as the two visit together in Silver Lake, Minnesota. Tom tells the story of how he became a law breaker as a young boy when he shot his first deer out-of-season. This snowballed as he continued to do not only the poaching, but became what was considered an underage and teenage alcoholic. This story includes the death of several loved ones, and his vow at his older brother’s funeral to never love anyone again. Yet, as his life spiraled out of control, God had a plan and Tom prayed to receive Christ. He ministers full-time today through outdoor ministry, and as a pastor in Minnesota.
