Al talks to Gerry about how his son asking him to pray with him when he was a little boy, brought him to the point of tears, and two days later prayed to receive Christ. Al shares a number of other events that have occurred in his life through the years of professional outdoor fishing.

Dr. Tom Rakow, founder of the Christian Deer Hunters Association, talks to Gerry about how he has become an accomplished author. Tom writes books that deal with hunting and fishing and how God is using these activities in people’s lives to bring them to the Creator God. Interestingly enough, Tom failed English twice in high school and today knows Greek and Hebrew language better than English!

Dale Karch, owner of 3Rivers Archery, shares with Gerry about the many different ways that he, his wife Sandy and the kids were drawn closer together through archery. Gerry and Dale look at different projects families can do indoors through the winter months in crafting arrows, bows, and other items to be taken afield and enjoyed together when the spring thaws arrive.

Pete shares a little about the hunting facility and opportunities sportsmen can have, but also how he is sure that every individual hears about the Creator God, Jesus Christ. Pete reflects on his own personal testimony and how it has changed his life.

Dave is a wildlife biologist who has been blessed to see the Creator God in the creation around him and also from people he has met in the outdoors. Dave shares how one individual inspired him to be more proactive with his personal relationship with Christ.

Free lance writer and photographer Tracy Breen is this week's guest on the program. He shares with Gerry how he got started in the outdoors and his struggles in these adventures because of his cerebral palsy. Tracy feels that God has allowed him to use the things in his life to open opportunities to share Christ and has been blessed as a writer as well. This is an inspiring program to cause the listener to reflect on how God has blessed them.

Through the years as a fishing and hunting guide, Dick Hribar has put a lot of miles on his body. At the time of this interview he was about to undergo his fourth knee transplant on both legs; he is quite an outdoorsmen, always on the go. Dick shares how as a Special Education teacher in Pennsylvania for 30 years he was able to connect with his students through archery and hunting, turning many of their lives around as they lacked fathers at home. Dick also talks of his guiding elk hunters who draw the limited and coveted tags in Pennsylvania each fall to pursue the monsters that roam the mountains near his home.

The editor of Bowhunter magazine, Dwight Schuh, reflects on some hunting blunders he has made. These, he feels, can teach the readers to not repeat the same mistakes. Dwight also talks of mistakes he has made spiritually, the correlation between both issues, and how he prays that those who learn of his mistakes will not be destined to go down the same path.

Ex-Boston Red Sox outfielder, Trot Nixon shares his journey to major league status and also his walk with the Lord. This interview was done at the Fathers to Future Men Pheasant Hunt in South Dakota for boys who have been physically abused or abandoned by their fathers. Trot was one of the past speakers at this event.

Monte Browning shoots a world record brown bear with his long bow at 7 paces and recounts stories of being charged by other bears in this interview. Monte reflects that although big bears don’t scare him, the realization one day that he had never read the Bible completely through despite reading hundreds of other books, scared him to the point of action. Monte also shares about pornography and how he was convicted through God’s Word that he had been in error as he viewed his position on this topic.

Gerry and Al Lindner discuss Al’s one-time opportunity to do a TV program with exercise guru Richard Simmons. Having watched this on YouTube, I can assure you that Al not only looks speechless as Richard gets excited, but seems to be frightened at the same time. During this interview, Al shares how God had been speaking to him for years about a tournament fundraising idea for churches.

About Dean Hulce

Dean Hulce was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where he spent every weekend in the woods or on the water with family and friends.  After graduation he married his highschool sweetheart Linda.  They have two boys and 5 grandchildren. 

Dean has written for several hunting and fishing magazines over the last 25 years. He has guided  hunters and fisherman as well as run hunting fishing camps from South Texas to Alaska and many states and provinces in between.  In the last 10 years Dean has written a daily devotional that goes out to thousands each day. He had published 5 devotional books, using hunting stories to bring a message to people.  He has traveled across the USA speaking to groups, spreading the gospel through outdoor experiences.

Dean has no doubt that God has prepared him his entire life for his position with God's Great Outdoors Ministry
