Keeping the Big Issues Front and Center
We haven't heard of many Amish Christians lately who strap bomb packs on young women with Downs Syndrome and sending them into crowded marketplaces. Nor have we heard of too many Presbyterians burning down orphanages and tossing the workers into the burning pyres. But that's what Muslims and Hindis are busy doing around the world. By the way, humanists aren't much better. Persecution in India and China against Christians is heating up right now.
Yet, Christians bravely take the Gospel of Love into the darkest corners of Islam and Hinduism around the globe, and subject themselves to some of the most dreadful persecution you can imagine. This is the heart of the battle against the kingdom of the devil, and he often reacts violently against these Christians.
As Gabe Waddell reminds us to remember those in chains as a vital part of the Christian life, and recommends a regular routine for this for our homes and churches.
