Adam McManus interviews Doug Phillips. Unfortunately, most documentaries covering our earth refuse to give God glory, let alone even mention the Creator.   Men refuse to give God thanks, because their hearts are hardened against Him.  This is the mission of the Discovery Channel, the Learning Channel, and National Geographic.  But there is an organization that is committed to reversing this awful trend.  Radio talk show host, Adam McManus interviews Doug Phillips on nature documentaries that give God glory for His creation.   Doug Phillips is heading down to the Amazon and up into space to record more of the mighty acts of God in Creation.

The Heart of Her Husband Safely Trusts in HerOnly 22% of American families constitute "traditional households," down from almost 50% in the 1970's (where the father works and everybody else sits at home eating bonbons and watching soap operas). But we're not looking to revive "traditional households!" Kevin Swanson reads Proverbs 31, and then gives the New Revised Version of the same passage so as to contrast two rather distinct visions.   Then, he interviews a family doing their best to revive the Biblical "Oikonomia," where the heart of a husband safely resides with his wife.  The economic household vision represented in biblical revelation has almost disappeared, and is not even included in charts that define household economies today.  But families like that constituted by Scott and Andie Davidson are bringing it back!

Giving Thanks In the midst of the Nazi-controlled, war-torn Holland is where we find a Corrie Ten Boom.  Out of a communist cesspool of the nation of Romania comes a Richard Wurmbrand, the founder of a powerful ministry called "Voice of the Martyrs."  Kevin Swanson points out that God's sweetest mercies are often found in growing in the ashes of burned out civilizations.  There is much to be thankful for in the present day. God is working, and He may be forming something out of the ashes of western civilization.  Optimism rings in this Thanksgiving edition of the Generations broadcast!

World Net Daily's David Kupelian Much as though our liberal friends are reticent to calling things like communism or even Mao Tse Tung "evil," there are still some of us hopelessly committed to maintaining the good-evil distinction.  David Kupelian from World Net Daily believes that knowing how evil works, can sometimes betray its influence in our thinking and lives.  On this edition of Generations, David speaks to his best-selling book "How Evil Works," and illustrates how we are all impacted by things like terrorism, the breakdown of the family and morality in this western world.  You do not want to miss this interview!

Interview: Dr. Jim Newheiser There are plenty of books on parenting toddlers, preschoolers, young boys, young girls, teens, and everything in between. Yet, there is much less direction out there concerning how we relate to our adult children. The questions that arise when making decisions for our adult children, the children's fifth commandment obligation, and so on provide issues that require wisdom, counsel, and care to keep the balance between rules and relationships. We interview Dr. Jim Newheiser on his recent book "You Never Stop Being a Parent".

Pietism vs. God's Law. A listener to the program asks whether a man should protect his family from an intruder wishing to do harm to the family, or just let the man murder his family as a "good witness." Kevin Swanson explains that we are never to condone the breaking of God's law, especially when it is in our power to correct these things. The separation of law and gospel has damaged the protestant faith, and here is another example of this sort of thing. Larry Pratt from Gun Owners of America wades in on this one as well, to make for a lively discussion!

End of Life DecisionsIs it appropriate to rob your neighbor of $2,000,000 to get a heart-transplant for a relative without insurance?   Should you spend your entire inheritance on excessive medical costs for procedures that produce questionable results?  Should you withhold food and water from an elderly person nearing the end of life?   Kevin Swanson interviews Christian Medical Doctor, Dr. Del Bailey on end-of-life decisions.  These are important considerations for every family that must deal with increasingly socialized medical care, euthanasia-happy medical personnel, and implicit trust in the American Medical Association (vs. trust in the true and living God).

As we close 1500 years of history with a European-based Christian faith (In Europe and America), the faith moves towards Africans, South Americans, and Asians. But Kevin Swanson is still monitoring the decline of the faith. Faith, family, and freedoms die in different ways in places like the Netherlands, England, Sweden and America. 67% of English voters support euthanasia, while 2/3 of Dutch parents are okay with their 15-year-old kids sleeping with their "special" friends. But the good news is that the Dutch teens have 1/6 the pregnancy rate of American teens. Also in the news, another pastor in America exits the closet. But as the church dies in the west - another church is forming. Reports have it that 50% of church attenders in England are Afro-caribbean and African!

Airport Screening and ADD One in ten American children are now afflicted with what is known as "ADD," or "ABD" - the American Boy Disease. And nobody questions the social programming itself, as usual! But what about these full-body scans at the airports? Kevin Swanson relates his own experience, and wonders how a nation can be programmed to accept such indignities and violation of privacy.

Interview: Nancy Pearcey Secularism is going global. The humanist assault on morals and meaning is intensive, and is breaking down all of our forms. Existentialism birth implodes. Pure materialism drains us of hope and purpose, and humanism is burning out in the west. Nancy Pearcey, author of cultural critiques like "Saving Leonardo," demonstrates how powerful cultural expressions can be in forming our worldviews. What does Jerusalem have to do with Athens? How can Christians be better at discerning the cultural emanations that formulate our worldviews?
