No More Churches in Public Schools? - Christianity Marginalized Even More

April 14, 2014
A Federal Appeal court agreed with New York City's ban on churches meeting in public schools. Although this does not effect the old mainline churches that represent liberal causes and general apostasy, it will be have an effect on small churches that are attempting to salvage faith. Will small churches resort to homes? Or will they seek cheaper land outside of the towns to construct their own buildings? We also compare the state of the family in Russia and America, based on an article from Pat Buchanan.

Nabisco gets to define what is wholesome. From what we understand, same-sex marriage is a wholesome thing, as long as they eat Nabisco's wholesome crackers. There is a bit of a disagreement on what constitutes wholesome and what constitutes an abominable immorality. Kevin Swanson points out that we're going to have to figure this one out, or nations will divide over it. We also refer to the early fathers of the Christian church to get a feel for how they would look at Nabisco's wholesome products.

It's another first. Kacey Musgraves' pro-homosexual, pro-drugs sales pitch takes Country Music Album of the Year at the CM Awards, the ACM Awards, and Grammy Awards events this year. As a former country music DJ, Kevin Swanson traces the country music firsts as America learns to accept adultery, fornication, and homosexuality as new norms. If Musgraves had sang that thing at the Grand Ol' Opry in 1948, somebody would have called for a rope.

The lines are forming. Mozilla CEO was knocked out of the company because he breathed a little support for traditional marriage six years ago. The workplace Nazi's are on the march. Meanwhile, World Vision is in turmoil over the same issue. And we wonder about the authenticity of a repentance that won't call homosexual behavior a sin.

When Hollywood confuses good guys and bad guys, the demons and the good angels, they erode biblical notions of ethics, judgment, and God. Kevin Swanson points out the worldview problems with Aranosky's Noah, and the capitulation to the existentialist choice at the end of the film. This is probably the best example of a bad film, not worth watching.

American Hustler. Gravity. Dallas Buyer's Club. 12 Years a Slave. Blue Jasmine. Frozen. The Great Gadsby. What do all of these films have in common? They won Academy Awards or Nominations, and they represent the counter worldviews of the modern age. Kevin Swanson interacts with the films, and takes issue with the Starbuck's cup on this edition of Generations.

Thus far, the homeschooling movement has sustained two major attacks. Some thought it would produce inferior academic results, calling for onerous government controls. This was answered by a flood of studies on homeschool academic performance. Following this, came the attacks on homeschool socialization. Some thought that homeschooled graduates would be incapable of functioning in society – raising families themselves, getting a good college education, or engaging in the economy. This also was answered by studies on socialization and surveys of homeschool graduates. So the movement grew in numbers and epistemological self-consciousness. Now, homeschooling appears to be changing the social fabric of families everywhere. These kids did not attend socialist schools. They don't think like socialists. They don't vote like socialists. They won't support a socialist nation. Now, that's a problem, for the socialists. These homeschoolers are guilty as charged. Mike Farris, chairman of HSLDA, sounds an alarm on this edition of Generations concerning this third wave attack on Home Education in America.

Today, you can be an atheist, a lesbian, fill-in-the-blank, and you're qualified to lead the National Girl Scouts Organization. Kevin Swanson interviews Patti Garibay, National Executive Director for the American Heritage Girls, an alternative group to the Girl Scouts of America.
