Nicer than God

Liberals, Inclusive and Tolerant
Kevin Swanson points out that evil always has a mask, a really nice mask. While the Atheists are busy impugning God with "sin" (whatever that is in a relativistic universe), they are repeating the very crime that constitutes the essence and the source of all of the evil in the world.
But what about the rest of us? Kevin Swanson points out how Christians repeat the same problem over and over again when they create their own little set of rules, while ignoring what God originally said in His Word. Are we trying to be "nicer than God?"

A New Economic Paradigm The present economic depression tripped by wildly irresponsible debt and consuming, offers reason to pause, and ask some basic questions. Should I encourage my children to a debt free vision? Should we train the next generation to expect less, to live more within their means, and to eschew debt? Some of the new generation is already there. Two homeschool graduates compare notes on how they realized a debt-free vision early in their lives, and they share on the impact these commitments made on subsequent family life. These are vitally important discussions as we begin to enter a new economic paradigm in western nations. You do not want to miss this discussion with Nathan Maxwell and Kevin Swanson!

Rebuilding the Foundations When 40% of children are born without father, 50 million children are killed by order of their own parents, half of marriages end in divorce, and 70% of young men are not grown up by thirty years of age, what do you got? A 4% chance that a child will grow up as a stable human being in a stable family? When the foundations are destroyed, what do the righteous do? Kevin Swanson suggests a Psalm 112 approach as the only possibility of salvaging anything of essence for the next generation or two. Watch what happens when fathers tremble in the worship of God!

Ichabod Community Church It should be a settled matter that those of us living in Europe and North America are living in what is probably the most massive apostasy away from the Christian faith that the world has seen. But what happens to the occasional family of true faith who happens to finds themselves in a apostatizing church congregation? Is there ever a time to steal sheep or should we just call it a sheep rescue? Kevin Swanson refers to a real life example of a family caught in a church in full-bore apostasy. The health of our families and future generations will be determined by the church we attend. Choose carefully! If you find yourself in Ichabod Community Church, it’s time to get out and get out now.

Evolution Theories and Fairy Tales Let's suppose you were a scientist and you were looking for reasonable evidence for a mechanism you had suggested for how a toad turned into a prince. What sort of evidence would you demand? Kevin Swanson would like a few hundred thousand transitional forms in the fossil record for starters. A little laboratory evidence for "punctuated equilibrium" might also be helpful, if that's the real mechanism that advanced the complexity of the life forms. Is it wrong to demand evidence, before we take a dogmatic stand on species evolution?

From the Streets of Denver From the streets of Denver, here is a beautiful story of a family that saves up to 100 precious lives each year. For thirty years, Ken and Jo Scott have ministered twenty-five feet from hell's gates, where men and women are in the process of making the worst decision of their life – to kill their own babies. Their story is inspiring and challenging. . . if you can handle it.

After the Fall of the West Two recent news stories chronicle the decline of the Christian church in America as well as the collapse of the socio-economic system put together by the humanists over the last 500 years. Two things are happening simultaneously, as we witness some of the most interesting developments in human history. The Christian church is collapsing in the west. The faith is failing, but so are the humanist empires. The empty shell of a weak Christian faith is broken, but there was nothing substantial inside of it anyway. But all of this provides great opportunity and hope for those who had never put all that much stock in the empires, or a fatally-compromised religion. We also interact with an important editorial in the Christian Science Monitor, "The Coming Evangelical Collapse."

From Professional to Family Man Economic systems have contributed greatly to the disintegration of the family in the modern world, but how does one re-incorporate a family into the wider economic picture? This was not a major problem when society was largely agrarian, but professionals today find family relationships difficult if not impossible to cultivate within a family-fragmenting economic construct. Nevertheless, there are a few families whose hearts are turning towards home. They are discovering unique ways to unify the family around the oikonomia, moving us from a corporate board-driven economy to a father-driven economy. Here Steve Vaughn shares his journey from the corporate workaholic to the entrepreneur workaholic, and finally to a biblical life where dominion, relationships, and faith find true expression.

Revolutionary Culture What is the fundamental problem with a culture that devolves in all of its forms? Warning! Kevin Swanson describes the modern youth culture in sharply descriptive terms. The power of the principle of honoring parents is discussed. Without it, cultures turn cannibalistic and self-destructive. With a principle like this, there will be a generational reformation that will eclipse all others.
