Evangelicals Sick of Politics - Tullian Tchividjian vs. D. James Kennedy

July 25, 2014
The shift at Coral Ridge from D. James Kennedy to Tullian Tchividjian has been a stark reminder of the shift going on in evangelicalism. Tchividjian's done with "political ideologies and culture warring issues" per recent Blaze article. But not us. We have not yet begun to fight! Paul went after the Cretan cultural sins, and we're okay with going after the American cultural sins. But do we address in the institutional level or the individual level? Which is more fundamental? Which comes first? Kevin Swanson carefully considers Tchividjian's comments, which reflects the growing sentiment in a dying evangelicalism.

Whatever the Christian 'Gospel' became over the last generation or so within the evangelical church was not substantial enough to salvage the faith. Kevin Swanson points out in this historical survey of Marxism in America that humanists trade off one form of slavery for another, always promising some sort of cheap deliverance, but never delivering on the promise. Marxism entered America in the 1840s, but didn't bear much fruit until the 20th century. Walter Kennedy points out that Marxists infiltrated the Republican administration of Abraham Lincoln as early as the 1860s. Here is an eye-opening interview with the author of the book "Lincoln's Marxists."

Recent studies indicate that 64% of millennial women birth children out of wedlock. Dysfunctionality is the rule. But Sweden and Great Britain are excited. Kevin Swanson points out a recent epistemologically self-conscious bumper sticker. . . It IS all about me! President Obama's use of the personal pronouns "I", "Me", and "My" a full 199 times in a recent talk is only a representation of the zeitgeist. This constitutes the root problem that is shot through society, and will yield bad fruit. Also, Kevin Swanson asks the question, "Are you a racist if you were to oppose President Obama's agenda?"
