Christian Teachers and Transgendering Kids - Navigating the Chaos

November 24, 2015
A teacher in Katy, Texas is dismissed because she refuses to go along with the transgender program for six year old children. This leads to a conversation on how Christians can function in an increasingly pagan, post-Christian world. Confusion reigns in the world out there, but 1 Corinthians 10:23-28 can be very helpful in working out a number of ethical conundrums.

This program includes:
1. The World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (Ted Cruz Rises in Polls, U.S. State Department Warns Travelers, Planned Parenthood Sues Texas)

There are times at which both conservatives and liberals are wrong, and the Syrian refugees point to the unbiblical character of both sides of the aisle in American governance. Kevin Swanson takes a look at the biblical standard for the state, when it comes to the question of immigration. The Obama administration prefers Muslims over Christians when it comes to immigration. But are they opening the gate for more terrorism in this country as well? This program includes:1. Salt Lake City just elected their first lesbian mayor - symbolic of what is happening to the conservative bastions in the nation. Kevin Swanson clarifies his position on the role of the civil magistrate and homosexuality. Without repentance (a turning from sin to God), we can't expect the civil magistrate to be reversing Obergefell anytime too soon. This program includes:1. The Eagles of Death Metal band were playing the song "I will love the devil," when the terrorists broke into the Paris concert hall and killed some 89 persons on Friday. The devil's works are manifest, but thankfully, Christ came to destroy the works of the devil. Kevin Swanson then traces the roots of modern shock rock and the devastation it brings to modern culture. We also take a look at Alice Cooper, and warn our audience about fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. This program includes:1. Guest host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] chats with Scott Alan Buss, columnist with www.FireBreathingChristian.com, about actor Charlie Sheen’s explosive interview yesterday morning on NBC’s Today show in which Sheen revealed his 4-year-long, HIV-positive status. Known for his memorable movie roles in “Wall Street” and “Red Dawn”, Sheen became the highest-paid television actor, earning a million dollars per episode for “Two and a Half Men” about the womanizing ways of a reprobate bachelor.Sheen’s sins seemingly knew no bounds. A $50,000 tab for prostitutes through Hollywood Madam Heidi Fleiss alone, 200 sexual partners in the last two years, $10 million paid out in blackmail to keep his HIV-status secret, not to mention major drug and alcohol abuse and three marriages and divorces. But Buss writes that “Sheen is clearly a man under the wrath of God. And he thought he was ‘winning’ something. Kind of like America. We love to view material success as proof of God smiling on us. We love to enjoy our unmatched comfort and ease, flaunting ourselves as a ‘shining city on a hill’ worthy of the adoration of the rest of humanity. And yet we dismiss the detailed commands of Christ when it comes to the way we manage our business, economics, law, civil government, art, education and everything else.” Read his column: http://www.firebreathingchristian.com/archives/11409

Guest host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] chats with Jack Munday, international director of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team [www.billygraham.org/rrt], about how a team of seven French-speaking, crisis-trained chaplains will provide a listening ear and God’s comfort at the memorial sites where Muslim terrorists killed 132 and injured 352 people. Founded by Franklin Graham in the aftermath of 9/11, the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team has grown into a nationwide network of chaplains who have deployed to more than 200 disaster sites, including shootings, floods, hurricanes, wildfires and tornadoes. Wearing jackets which identify themselves as Billy Graham chaplains, they will initiate dialogue with the mourners by saying, “I’m so sorry this happened” and asking “Did you know anyone hurt or killed in the attack?” When appropriate, they will hand out a 31-day devotional and journal entitled “When Your Whole World Changes”, French New Testaments and tracts about getting right with God. Guest host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] chats with Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Vice President of Operation Rescue, about the United States Supreme Court's decision on Friday, November 13th to hear the first major pro-life case since 2007. It involves a 2013 Texas law, HB2, that banned abortions after 20 weeks, required abortion facilities to meet minimum health and safety standards and mandated that abortionists maintain hospital privileges within 30 miles of their abortion facilities. (Learn more: http://www.operationrescue.org/archives/the-u-s-supreme-court-takes-major-texas-abortion-safety-case/) While the facility standards portion of the law had been unfortunately blocked from enforcement, the hospital privilege requirement has been implemented across Texas. This has resulted in the closure of about half the state's abortion mills, which caused abortions to decrease in Texas by an impressive 13 percent over the next 12 months. The 2013 law was a direct result of an undercover investigation Operation Rescue did in 2011 into dozens of Texas abortion mills which led to the discovery of illegal disposal of the remains of babies and hazardous bio-medical waste, illegal disposal of drug vials, the illegal dumping of patients' records, widespread abuses of Texas-mandated informed consent laws, and undercover calls and visits showing a willingness among abortion mill staffers to ignore mandatory reporting of child sex abuse. Guest host Adam McManus [www.AdamMcManus.net] talks to Mike Berry, Senior Counsel for Liberty Institute, about the right of a coach to exercise his freedom of religion. Since 2008, Coach Joe Kennedy of Bremerton, Washington was inspired by the film "Facing the Giants" to kneel down and pray a short, 30-second personal prayer at the 50-yard line -- long after the football game had concluded. He thanks God for his players, for the privilege of coaching and for their safety. After learning of Kennedy's personal prayer in 2015, the Bremerton School District not only issued a written demand that he cease and desist, but ultimately placed him on paid leave, prohibiting him from coaching the final football game of the season. Thankfully, China has discontinued its nightmarish one child policy that resulted in hundreds of millions of forced abortions over 30 years. It is called the greatest social error in history. It has destroyed common grace love for children, devastated the family, imploded the female to male gender ratio, and imploded birth rates. But compare that to South Korea and America. What about the evangelical church’s one or two child policy? Kevin Swanson compares taking the road to hell in a casket of velvet to the casket of thorns. This program includes:1. The World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (2015 National Religious Liberties Conference Coming to Des Moines, Hindu Extremism on the Rise in India, Missing Teen Found After 13 Years)2. The voters have spoken in the 2015 elections. Will Kentucky’s new governor back Kim Davis? Houston’s gay deal went down in flames. Does this mean the evangelicals will come out strong in 2016? Half of the Republican primary voters will be Christians, but will they vote to keep their pastors and Christian businessmen out of jail? Kevin Swanson urges Christians to seek justice, but not as Karl Marx defined social justice. Seek justice as defined by God Himself. The definitions for justice and freedom are critical here. This program includes: 1. The World View in Five Minutes with Adam McManus (Ohio Rejects the Legalizing of Marijuana, China and Taiwan Prepare for a Meeting for the First Time Since Their Civil War, Plane Crashes in South Sudan, Killing 36 People)2.
