Bill Cosby Trial and Bachelor in Paradise - The Pretense of Moral Outrage

June 19, 2017

The Bachelor in Paradise scandal and the Bill Cosby Trial present the best pretense of moral outrage. Fox News is upset with the Democrats for using the S-word, but they’re just find with Republicans abusing God’s Name. We also compare Katy Perry’s apostasy with Bob Dylan’s growing interest in Christ.

Almost every major leader of every major nation in Europe is childless. What does this mean for the future of Europe? How do childless leaders develop policy that might benefit future generations? They won’t. That’s the simple answer. It is over for Europe. But what about America? How would you prepare for the future of nations on a suicidal bent?  This program includes:  1. Generations with Kevin Swanson  2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Cosby Jury Hanging Itself, Rebellion in the Anglican Communion, Persecution of Church in India)

The real problem with the Swedish Satanic Metal Band “Ghost” is not their chanting to Beelzebub and songs about human sacrifice.  The real problem with them is that they deny the supernatural and sin.  Now, the band is bound up in law suits, “unabashed dishonesty, greed, darkness.”  That’s what they’re confessing to, but was there any surprise that a band sold out to Satan would be dishonest, greedy, and dark?  We address the problem with the anti-supernatural worldview that is prevalent today, as well as the wrong view of supernaturalism that dominated with the Catholic church in the 1300s and the Protestant Church in Salem, Massachusettsin the 1690s.  This program includes: 1. Generations with Kevin Swanson 2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Russian Orthodox Church Opposes Homosexuality, People Die in London Grenfell Tower Fire, Gunman Open Fires in Alexandria, Virginia)

If Jesus were visiting American churches, where would He be ministering?  Where would He go?  Now more than ever, we need to seek out the highways and byways, and find those who need the message of the Gospel, and the care of Jesus' people. These are every day people doing every day ministries in prisons, rest homes, and with adoptive children. This program includes:  1. Generations with Kevin Swanson  2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Sudan Releases Christian Pastor, Southern Baptists Lost 77,000 Members, UK Cuts Sex Education Programs)

Parents from Oregon choose not to use the American Medical Association recommended system for taking care of a premie baby, and the government charges them with murder. Meanwhile, parents in England had to watch their premie gasping for breath and dying, because the child didn’t qualify for medical care. Either way the child dies, and the parents must suffer. Kevin Swanson carefully walks through the principles that govern these matters of life and death.  This program includes:  1. Generations with Kevin Swanson  2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Court Blocks Trump’s Travel Ban, Christian Colleges “Losing Their Salvation”, Oregon Senate Approves Euthanasia Bill)

Nobody was very surprised that Fox News Channel is collapsing under the weight of multiple sexual harassment scandals.  The sexual objectification and soft porn that characterized the Fox News website gave us a sense of the management of the organization.  We take a look at what the Bible says about sexual innuendo, sexual harassment, and the slight differences between the hypocrisy of Fox News and the hypocrisy of CNN.   Comparing hypocrisies on this edition of the program, including that of the Church of Scotland.  This program includes:  1. Generations with Kevin Swanson  2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Trump Refuses to Acknowledge Homosexual Month, Abortion Rates Decreasing in Russia, ISIS Killing Children in Mosul)

The New Yorker Magazine features an article on the recent history of dystopian fiction, and its not a pretty sight.  Modern dystopian literature is untrusting, lonely, sullen, helpless, and hopeless — unlike the older stuff. We also do a spread-sheet analysis on box office receipts on dystopian films, and find an exponential rise in just 20 years. What is happening to the post-modern world? The worst the news gets in the world, however, the better our news! This program includes: 1. Generations with Kevin Swanson 2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (President Trump Speaks to Faith and Freedom Coalition, Britain’s Conservative Party Loses Ground in Election, Bob Dylan Holds to Both Testaments)

Public colleges are increasingly liberal, and entirely unhelpful either at addressing racism or illiteracy. They rather further encourage the breakdown of national unity and education. Nonetheless this is nothing do. They’ve been radicalizing students since the 18th Century. We discuss Shakespeare’s homo-erotic love sonnets, the obscenities in his plays, and the bad metaphysic in Romeo and Juliet, the Tempest, and MacBeth.  This program includes:  1. Generations with Kevin Swanson  2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Chinese Churches Seeing 100,000 New Converts Per Year, America’s Apostate Cities - Orlando, San Francisco, and Seattle, 10 Million Men MIA from Economy)

Does God have an opinion when it comes to education?  Israel Wayne says, “Yes!”  And so do men like John Murray, Gordon Clark, R.J. Rushdoony, and J. Gresham Machen. Should we be listening to them?  We get into the nitty gritty of what this Christian education looks like.  What about Christian Schools?  Are they any better than public schools?  This program includes: 1. Generations with Kevin Swanson 2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Supreme Court Refuses to Hear Monifa Sterling's Case, Graham Continues to Warn Against Islam, McDonald's Celebrates Homosexual Pride)

What does the church or the Christian school do when the pastor’s daughter or the board president’s daughter turns up pregnant out of wedlock? The New York Times featured an article which pitted pro-lifers against a Christian school that took a stand against pre-marital fornication (and tried to enforce their “rules”). This brings up a discussion on the nature of repentance, the problem of judgmentalism, the importance of church discipline, and assorted other worms residing in this particular can.  This program includes:  1. Generations with Kevin Swanson  2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Persecution in Eritrea on the Rise, Bill Cosby on Trial for Adulterous Acts, Ireland Gets Homosexual PM)

NPR’s Scott Simon makes note to atheist, Richard Dawkins that atheist organizations are never seen helping people during wars, tragedies, or famines.  But, why would atheists choose to be altruistic? The motive is going to be self-interest, unless there is a God-interest. We also take a look at the rise in suicide among the millennials, esp. with young girls. We cover the new television program “13 Reasons Why,” and provide our own 13 Reasons Why Not Commit Suicide. This program includes: 1. Generations with Kevin Swanson 2. The World View in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus (Defense Secretary Says North Korea Is a Threat, Kentucky Governor Confronts Violence with Prayer, Terrorist Kills 37 People in the Philippines)
