February 7, 2014

Coca-cola celebrates homosexuality in its recent Super Bowl ad to the tune of Katherine Bates' America the Beautiful. Huff Post turns around and says, "Don’t worry about it. Katherine Lee Bates might have been a lesbian anyway." Kevin Swanson says that it takes a pretty fouled up mind to turn all phileo love into some form of abominable eros. Then the Russian President chastises America for its godless character. Strange world out there.

In what may have been the largest, most downloaded creation debate in history, Ken Ham faced off with Bill Nye (the Science Guy) at the Creation Museum in Kentucky. Kevin Swanson provides the play by play action, and centers in on the limitations of science. Could all of this boil down to the pride of scientists who cannot admit to the limitations of their field (whether historical or observational)?

Shall Christians be involved in politics, even in a "post-Christian" nation? Those that discourage us from seeking righteousness and liberty in the public sphere, are they opposing the crown rights of Christ over all things? These are serious questions, that should be examined carefully by true Christians. Kevin Swanson interviews Pastor Joe Morecraft, author of "With Liberty and Justice for All" on Christian involvement in government and current political strategies for Christians.

Will France join Germany and Sweden in the ongoing persecution of home educators in these Western states. The survival of faith through the generations will have something to do with the survival of the family and family-based discipleship. Kevin Swanson calls for reformation of family, church, and state in this edition of Generations. Will freedoms survive? Much of this depends on whether churches all over the west will preach God's standards of law. We also speak with Ryan Elliot on the Reforming Families Conference at the Creation Museum.

Neronic weddings and Satanic sacrifices at the 2014 Grammies. We have come a long way from Jimmie Driftwood's "Battle of New Orleans," (Song of the Year at the 1959 Grammies). Kevin Swanson reviews the musical awards, and finds the Country Music Album of the Year to be the very worst, or at least the most explicit expression of American apostasy from the Christian faith. All of which brings up the question, "What will they do next year?" Have Katy Perry toss her parents into a lion's den?

A new study looks squarely into what is happening with 27 year old high school and college graduates. Only 30% are married. The shack up rate is unbelievable. They have very little capital, and college doesn't help with that. Kevin Swanson takes a look at the survey, and then talks real solutions with young men from his Shepherd Center on this edition of the program.

With the financial stress on modern western governments, some countries are forced to sending their elderly to Poland or Cambodia. What will happen when the social security system fails here? However, there are Christians working to develop a family-based, home-based approach to replace the socialist, institutionalized systems of elderly care. Kevin Swanson intreviews Steve Kemp from Golden Valley Christian Care in Arizona on his home-based approach to elderly care.

Kevin Swanson interviews Tim Lambert from Texas Homeschool Coalition on the latest developments in the case.

The Roman Catholic Church has recently deposed another 400 priests on sexual molestation charges, in the ongoing moral corruption of that organization. Perilous times bring about reprobate churches, and tyrannical police states. An NSA official finally admits that America has now a "full-blown police state" with regular surveillance of the citizenry. Kevin Swanson wonders what Thomas Jefferson would think.

Based on Debt to GDP ratios, the United States has managed to work itself from the 56th worst nation to the 10th worst nation in the world (in just the last 13 years). This country sits with Greece, Spain, Italy, and Japan - as the nations in the very worst shape. The ratio grew from 56% to 110% . It doubled! Unemployment stands somewhere around 37% here. The Republicans and Democrats have not helped since the great recession of 2008. They've only made things far worse. The message we've learned in the age of materialism is very simple. . . you worship this money god, it will beat you to death. Kevin Swanson isn't attempting to save the country here, but there are a few simple solutions for families who don't particularly want to go down with the TItanic.
