Kevin Swanson reviews the latest summer blockbuster with his daughter Emily. The much-touted, "Christian" themed movie is drawing rave reviews from Christians everywhere. However, carefully-constructed stories always operate on multiple levels. In the cultural war raging around us, The naive are easily taken by a simplistic review of films that counts cuss words and finds redemptive themes and Christ-metaphors everywhere. Two worldviews appear side by side in the new Superman flick, and the old Christian God disappears in favor of new gods. Also, Kevin Swanson interviews Michael Moody on homeschooling in Texas and the FORGE conference coming in September.

The Anglicans are resituating their church towards paganism in more efforts to synthesize with the popular religions of the day. Kevin Swanson also takes a look at a pastor's blog that includes a picture of a nude man at the head of it, and we are told that Christ would not have us emulate the Good Samaritan. Is Jesus expositing the law of God, or is He expositing grace in the parable of the Good Samaritan? Or perhaps we should be careful about pitting law against grace.

Here is the interesting case of Edward Snowden, a Ron Paul supporter and a whistle-blower on the NSA. But why are Americans in favor of the right to privacy for abortion, while they are more than happy to give up all other rights to privacy? Kevin Swanson comments on the biblical view of governments that are always taking censuses and gathering loads of information on the citizenry. What would our founders think of an all-powerful government? What would the citizens in the Gulag Archipelego think?

President Obama comments on the "divisiveness" of private Christian schools. Meantime, a White House Petition would expunge all of the last remnants of creationism from the public schools. Kevin Swanson asks more basic questions. Which religion should be taught in the public schools? Naturalism or Supernaturalism? And which form of science ought to be taught? Which paradigm will destroy science and which will sustain it?

The marriage rate takes a dive, and so does the birth rate in the U.S. especially among peoples of European-stock. The shack-up rate is 15X what it was in 1970. All this singleness and pre-marital sexuality can't be any good for a dying social system in the West. As the faith fades away in the West, the "women have no more children" and minorities will outnumber the old White Protestant bunch by 2046.

After 100 years of steady decline, historical revisionism, and the destruction of our nation's heritage, there are some families that still find it important to teach their children God's providential history in the most God-blessed nation on earth. Kevin Swanson interviews Douglas Phillips as Vision Forum sponsors the History of America Mega-conference. Will we salvage a heritage for our children? Will we teach them this heritage, or just let it die out?
