War Zones and Peace Treaties, Part 2b

June 14, 2012

When it comes to protecting the health of our church, we’re usually quick to oppose false teachers and immorality. But sometimes, our congregation is weakened by a much more subtle force. Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez continues a study in 1 Corinthians. The Apostle Paul was concerned about the damage that was resulting from nitpicking, criticism and squabbles in the church at Corinth. Perhaps you’ve experienced this problem with people you care about.

Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez turns to 1 Corinthians and shows how we can live out Jesus’ commands. Be encouraged to embrace God’s ideal for Christian relationships!

Every world religion tells us we need to earn God’s favor and outlines ways to work towards salvation. All of them, that is, except one. A good number of people experience a sense of pride in earning things for themselves. Most of us work hard to bring home a paycheck, and make our way up through the ranks in our career.
