When confronted with difficult decisions, we all ask ourselves common questions like, Is this a good choice for me? Will this help me accomplish my goals? Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez urges us to ask a rather uncommon question before we make our next commitment. We’re making our way through 1 Corinthians 10. It’s here we learn about the importance of thoughtfully considering others when we make choices in life.

It just shows up in a different way! We’re looking at 1 Corinthians 10, learning practical ways to guard against idolatry in our culture.

One of the greatest joys we can experience in this life is leading a friend or family member to faith in Jesus. Maybe you’ve experienced this amazing privilege yourself! If we’re going to make a positive difference in the lives of others, it will likely involve some sacrifices on our part. Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez describes the cost, and also the significance of investing in other people.

Many people view the Bible as a list of rules and regulations, but as we’ll come to discover, Scripture isn’t a collection of do’s and don’ts! It’s actually a declaration of our freedom! Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez encourages us to celebrate our freedom in Jesus Christ, but he also reminds us to balance those liberties with a genuine concern for others.

There are moments in life we hesitate to make a decision, not knowing whether it’s wrong or right. Fortunately, you and I have a built in compass…an inner voice that can help keep us on the straight and narrow road! Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez investigates what the Bible has to say about our conscience. In the gray areas of life, where the Bible gives no clear direction, we can trust our conscience to guide us.

Every experienced skydiver studies a checklist before leaping out of the plane. He knows that a hasty decision, or an ill-timed jump, can lead to a hazardous situation! Today on Focal Point, we’re studying God’s checklist for wise decision-making. Just like that skydiver, we shouldn’t rush into new opportunities without first answering some important questions. It’s possible you have an important choice to make. Mike Fabarez is looking at 1 Corinthians 7 for guidance.

Throughout the Bible, we read tragic stories of people who rushed to hasty decisions. Most of us can think back to certain choices and say, “I wish I could have a do-over on that one!” Thankfully, when we’re struggling over difficult decisions, we can look to God’s Word for guidance on how to move forward. Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez gives us a critical component to making the right choice.

Being a follower of Jesus doesn’t guarantee our life will be a bed of roses. There can be moments we find ourselves in a garden of thorns instead! It’s in those prickly predicaments that our trust in God is really put to the test. Today on Focal Point, we’re learning how to find contentment, even in the most impossible situations. Mike Fabarez is picking up where he left off yesterday in a study of 1 Corinthians 7. It’s a message called…"Trusting God in a Stinky Field!"

When our troubles are few and our burdens are light, it’s easy to be at peace with our situation. But how do we find contentment when the bottom drops out, and we’re left hanging by a thread? Today on Focal Point, Mike Fabarez opens to 1 Corinthians to help us find satisfaction in God, even when life’s tough. We’ll find that lasting contentment isn’t found in our circumstances! It’s really a matter of our attitude!
