You’ll never see a newborn baby chowing down on a prime rib dinner.  On the other hand, it’s a problem if a mature adult is still drinking milk from a baby bottle!  On this edition of Focal Point, Pastor Mike Fabarez is in the middle of a mini-series in Hebrews called ... Drink Your Milk.  It’s a look at the very basics of Christianity—where every believer should start.  But as we grow in our faith, our appetite for God’s Word should increase!

Could you imagine kindergarteners learning calculus?  Or first graders reading Plato?  Of course not!  You can only tackle advanced topics when you’ve mastered the basics first.  And the same holds true for our faith.  On this edition of Focal Point, Mike Fabarez explains the basics we need to grasp before we progress further in our walk with Christ.  These fundamentals of the faith are what the writer of Hebrews describes in chapter 6.

As we get older, our bodies start to change.  Middles get rounder and muscles get softer.  So a healthy diet and regular exercise become essential.  Of course, we don’t want to make you feel guilty for eating an extra slice of cake or skipping the gym once in a while. On this edition of Focal Point, Mike Fabarez encourages us towards a better spiritual diet and exercise.  Because the condition of our faith is far more important condition of our bodies.

After 25 years, Sam was still doing the same job at the same salary.  Finally, he went to his boss to say he felt neglected. “Look, I’ve had a quarter of a century of experience,” he said. “No Sam,” sighed the boss, “you’ve had one experience for a quarter of a century.”  Unfortunately, many Christians operate in the same way.  On this edition of Focal Point, Mike Fabarez asks us to consider our development … not in our career, but in our faith.
