It's impossible to be healthy and growing as a believer and be neglectful of your prayer life.  Of all the spiritual disciplines, personal prayer is generally the most neglected. While we cognitively acknowledge it's value, few are satisfied with their personal prayer lives.  One of the reasons our prayer lives are deficient is we've learned to trust in self-effort and the natural rather than in God and the supernatural. Just as the disciples asked Jesus to take them to a new level in their prayer lives, we can have Him take us there as well.
