When a Nation Chooses Darkness Part 2

February 12, 2009
Darkness is the absence of light. Throughout the Bible, darkness is associated with evil, affliction and ignorance. We are seeing how chaos and confusion are increasing in our nation more and more; we have to ask ourselves, has our nation as a whole chosen the way of darkness? If so, what can we do to change that?

How does a nation choose darkness? It does it by betraying good intellectualism, the good rules in the economy, falls into immorality and corruption in all of its institutions including the church. The majority of its citizens choose to detour from the path of God's truth and the principles He has given us for good government in the personal realm, in family and for society as a whole.

We all stand for something whether we want to admit it or not, it doesn’t matter what your argument might be, the truth remains, ideas and values cannot be based in vacuums, a foundation is required. Choosing a philosophy of life is an inevitable bridge we must all cross, how will you make your choice?

Economist’s predictions, political predictions, sociological predictions, and others are warning of a coming unprecedented severe world crisis. While I can reassure you with historical and biblical facts this is not the end of the world I can also guarantee that the world is moving into a very dangerous social unrest and it’s already beginning to rear its ugly head in many nations. So where can we find a true source of confidence?

Christianity is divided in many biblical points of view including the supernatural. While the world is looking for deep answers to all the problems not only intellectually but also to those who are beyond their ability to solve this can only be done by the supernatural power. While the majority of evangelicals and Protestants reject such manifestations affirming that we no longer need it and that it was only given to the early church; they do not have the biblical basis to sustain this argument effectively.

For over 400 years Christians have neglected biblical economics, this is the reason why even if we elect Christians to government they will continue to legislate and approve ungodly economic principles. Biblical economics demand that God’s principles be applied in order to stop the nightmare of wrong spending and the increase of inflation and hyperinflation.

If civil government can solve all social problems then someone has to explain why so many great civilizations and great nations of the past have collapsed.

Has the prosperity of America caused it to become greedy, sloppy and unwatchful in the principles that made her great? Our freedoms are threatened by deep rooted economic problems. What can we learn from past civilization where this has happened before?

Since we are to be administrators of the earth, is a nation’s money tied to God's justice? Are we facing the consequences of multi-generational financial disobedience?

Most likely, you have heard the phrase that we cannot legislate morality. The motive behind that statement is to silence the Christians who oppose immoral behavior. Those who hate biblical principles scream at the top of their lungs that we should not impose our morality on others. Does that mean that politics are immune from immorality? Does it mean that when we vote we must bypass the terrible effects of immorality and simply trust the laws passed by the executive powers, Congress, the Supreme Court, and other state laws? Can Christians separate their conscience from their vote in every day life? Even though many Christians do so, it is a reproach to the moral character of God.

The church has lost credibility but that does not mean that she cannot get back on the right track as she returns to the God of the Bible and acknowledges that God's wrath is upon us and it can come even harder if God's people do not return to righteousness.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
