The Will of God Part 4

June 4, 2010
Do the nations of the world understand the will of God? Of course not! Does America understand the will of God? There was a time in our past that the answer to that question was a resounding, yes! There is a hope if a nation like the United States of America once again reclaims its foundation upon biblical principles that gave her greatness. This biblical foundation is the only difference that gave America her exceptionalism but that she has lost. With God there is always hope for a new beginning.

When sin was introduced into creation, damage set in and chaos and confusion manifested in all areas of life. But when Christ at the cross said "It is finished" He meant it is all accomplished. Life in heaven is perfect and so it must be here on earth especially in the life of the believer in Christ.

If you were to ask several people who claim to have a born again experience in Christ, "What is the will of God?" what do you think they would answer? Even if you were to ask pastors or Bible teachers to explain what is the will of God for the nation, you would get such a variety of answers that you might walk away more confused than when you started. This is why God in His wisdom left His will written for us so we could revisit His Word as often as we wish to keep us on track to fulfill His good pleasure.

"And as it is our duty to extend our wishes to the happiness of the great family of man, I conceive that we cannot better express ourselves than by humbly supplicating the Supreme Ruler of the world that the rod of tyrants may be broken to pieces, and the oppressed made free again; that wars may cease in all the earth, and that the confusions that are and have been among nations may be overruled by promoting and speedily bringing on that holy and happy period when the kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ may be everywhere established, and all people everywhere willingly bow to the scepter of Him who is Prince of Peace." --As Governor of Massachusetts, Proclamation of a Day of Fast, March 20, 1797.

While we pause as a nation to commemorate those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms let us all be committed to doing no less. We will be held accountable for all we have been given. The graves of our Veterans remind us that freedom is never free. Jesus is the best example of what freedom is all about.

People have no problem readily accepting the promises of God because of all the benefits he offers. Preachers and teachers are tempted often and concede to tweak God's word and they bypass emphasizing the conditions of the promises for fear of offending the parishioners or relieving them from the pressure of right living. Who are we to dare to change God's standards for His blessings? The Pharisees and Scribes of Jesus' time did just that and this caused Jesus to come against them very hard. Does He do the same in our day?

God, by His Word and the Holy Spirit, is very diligent in protecting and preserving the truth. So when human ideas are distorting and guiding people in the wrong direction, God sees to it that that is corrected but he depends on human elements who want to pay the price to understand His truth and be willing to transmit it faithfully. Humans don't like standards. They like to think they are to be free to do and say whatever they wish and that they must be respected by all even God. God respects people's choices but He cannot ever give His seal of approval to man's folly.

Jesus had reason to condemn the doctrines of men. Doctrines do not only apply to things pertaining to religious faith. The systems of beliefs that are accepted as authoritative but that do not comply with God's standards, God has the obligation to judge them harshly so we too will repudiate them and receive the benefit of what God wants to accomplish.

Lies are penalized sooner or later. They carry a big weight upon the lives of individuals and nations which ultimately destroys them. Here in our country lies have been and will continue to take their toll. God and His truth will not be mocked by anyone. God's truth wins out every time; God will never be outdone.

When people do not have the right teaching from the full counsel of the revealed Word of God they are robbed of God’s blessings, their faith is killed and the end result is destruction.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
