The Freedom From Religion Foundation ad nauseam say Thomas Jefferson was, “a Deist, opposed to orthodox Christianity and the supernatural.” The atheists have hailed Jefferson and tirelessly work to drive Christianity from public life; the reality is that the true Thomas Jefferson is no friend of theirs and their hostile movement to remove biblical Christianity from life in the USA and its institutions. However, lies that continue reverberating are sooner or later are accepted as truth.

If humans cannot know the truth, then how can there be any successful planning for the future? It is irrational to think anyone can build a morality or a set of ethics upon evidence no one believes. If we have a reality that no one can trust much less a truth that does not exist, then doesn’t this sound too much like “what are we living for”? Is this God's purpose in creating us?

Can you think of a nation that has not collapsed because of lies? Can you see the deplorable conditions of countries, which are dominated by lies? All knowledge and understanding based on falsehood cannot produce a stable society; distrust becomes dominant, and most people pretend to get along to survive ignoring the lessons of history that reveal it never works well for all involved.

If you sense that most people are comfortable with lies, your assessment is correct. Lies become very evident during election time. Also, the government has earned the distrust of citizens who are fed-up with blatant lies. The main media uses their enormous communications apparatus to misinform the masses. The humanist entertainment industry floods the minds of those who are hypnotized by their charm; they use the education system to indoctrinate million of children and young people to accept a false worldview. Even Christianity is not immune to falsehoods.

What can be beyond common sense, logic and critical thinking? Discernment is beyond these dimensions because they are more superficial than the spiritual dimension. Discernment is something we need on a daily basis and even more so as the critical times around us increase more and more.

When Adam and Eve disobeyed, their minds and thoughts got all confused, which was something that until the moment of sin they had not experienced. They had now become fully impacted by the source of deception. The effects were immediate, their minds were polluted. However, Adam and Eve had no excuse because they knew the truth.
