The Consequences of Election Cycles, Part 3

September 17, 2014
If we want to avoid national disaster we must heed John Adams' advice “…because we have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” -John Adams, October 11, 1798

The election cycle is a social challenge especially when we see the outcome. There are millions who could care less who gets elected or even that there are any elections. This group of people naively thinks they are apolitical not realizing there is no such thing as neutrality. There is another group who fights furiously for their political views to be the ones to carry the day. Then there is the uneducated group who vote without understanding what they are doing even though they think they do. One thing is undeniable—elections have consequences.

Every election indicates to us the true condition of the nation and where it is headed.  One thing if for sure, you cannot construct stability out of instability.  We must select individuals to public service who are able to properly handle the myriad of issues: The Relationship of Money To Power, Tax Policies, Health and Welfare, Civil rights, morality, Crime and Punishment, Protection of the Environment, The Economy, Foreign Policy / Security, war, and many more issues that plague the social landscape.

As we remember the events of 9/11 from 2001, we must reflect on how our lives were changed. We saw tremendous conviction and commitment to a system of beliefs that 19 men were willing to die for. So we must pose the question: what are we willing to die for? I don't know about you, but, I am willing to die for what I believe, God, country, and family. No man has a greater love than he who lays down his life for others.

Many fear that ISIS has easy access to America through her borders. Others are saying that is exactly what they are using to infiltrate. America's problems with the resurgent Caliphate are far from over. In reality, America is facing a multiculturalism war at home and abroad. Weren't we suppose to be protected from invaders by the oceans? Why is this happening to us now?

As we reflect on the events of 9/11/2001, knowing of the yearly reminder for those who lost loved ones and what they have to go through—we are a nation that continues to seek answers as to why America was attacked and we still do not know the truth of those fatal events due to contradictory information and so much speculation. This continues to keep the wounds open and mistrust towards the government. Who did it, who are they protecting them? The power games of men continues regardless of the lives at stake.

If a lie is repeated often and long enough it becomes many people's truth especially if it transcends generation after generation. We are all responsible to search out the truth especially through God's Word. America will be destroyed because it has moved away from its biblical foundation, unless it goes back to that solid foundation it matters not who we elect into office or who is in the White House.

Ideas have to be transmitted and taught; the sources of those teachings are of the utmost importance. We are all students of life and we are all teachers of life. We learn and we teach, we teach and we learn, these are the facts of life. The question is what are we learning and what are we teaching?

Israel, as a chosen nation of God, at times did not produce to fruit of God's righteousness and it was no different than any other pagan nation under the sun. The very dominance by the Roman Empire was a clear sign of God's displeasure, and judgment of a cursed nation; God will never compromise His Word. Jesus reminded Israel's leadership of their condition was in relation to the law and the prophets and they had no business spreading their message to other nations. Does America have the right to spread the philosophy it is living by? How is it working for her?

Lest we forget our beginnings, "We cannot read the history of our rise and development as a Nation without reckoning with the place the Bible has occupied in shaping the advances of the Republic...Where we have been truest and most consistent in obeying its precepts we have attained the greatest measure of contentment and prosperity; where it has been to us as the words of a book that is sealed, we have faltered in our way, lost our range finders, and found our progress checked. It is well that we observe this anniversary of the first publishing of our English Bible. The time is propitious to place a fresh emphasis upon its place and worth in the economy of our life as a people." --President Franklin D. Roosevelt

We must never forget or overlook that a society is the expression of its beliefs, and those beliefs are manifested in all human action. God will never accept from His people to mix His revealed Truth with that of men, this means He doesn’t compromise for any reason or anyone. Upon this truth Israel was blessed or cursed and historical record demonstrated Israel’s constant abandonment of God’s moral law and as consequence received negative sanctions.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
