Throughout the year atheists are in a constant battle against Christianity for one simple reason, their denial of God’s existence. But they specially get angry and frustrated in the month of December because it is the grandest time of the year. It’s Christmas! Christians celebrate the birth of Christ in a big way! We have to understand atheists’ rejection of Jesus’ birth because it totally destroys their worldview especially if they admit to the way He was conceived and born.

Why is it if Christianity is the largest religion in the world there is so much persecution against it? Why do so many fight against the advent of Christmas? Is it because the main enemy of God makes it his business and highest goal to discredit the Christmas message?

God’s commission to Adam did not stop with he fell. Christ’s Great Commission to disciple the nations will continue to be carried out. Biblical Christians will rebuild the broken lives and social institutions of the nations. People will need those with knowledge, understanding and wisdom to do it by the Book.

Who takes biblical warnings seriously? Not many people. Christians today are not different then old Israel when God would send His social reformers, the prophets, to warn them of impending judgment but people’s reaction was to ignore, imprison, or kill the prophets. When disaster would come as predicted by God’s social reformers, then the people were ready to search their hearts and to find out why the destruction took place. Only then would they pay attention to God’s moral law. Is that what we are waiting for?

Do Christians want to hear the truth? Or, are they like the Jews of Jesus’ time. Throughout two thousand years of history Christianity has seen courageous and heroic believers who have defied wrong teachings. Without their commitment the world would be a much worse place. Biblical Christianity has yet to make the greatest move the world has ever seen. So in spite of corrupting the purity of God’s law by man’s doctrines the time will come when God’s truth will reign supreme.

If we do not do things by God’s Book, we have to do them by Satan’s book. This is the black and white of the matter; it’s just that simple. The cultural result is undeniable, the evidences are all over a culture and only fools deny that things are definitely bad and lie to themselves thinking to be in exceptionality in spite of the cultural corruption. That is what Jesus told the Jews of His time: Stop fooling yourselves thinking that you are God’s children. God’s absolutes are not negotiable, not then, not now, not ever!

God means what He says and says what He means. If the nation of Israel could not escape the consequences for her rebellion against God’s Standards for living, even though they thought they were the chosen people of God, what makes us think we can get away with our decadent cultural way of life?

More and more we hear cries and demands that are made to politicians to carry out their constitutional responsibilities. People are beginning to grow weary under the avalanche of lies, deception, the corruption of civil government and all of the social institutions. While this is true let us not forget that people are not only ignorant of the Founding Documents, specially the Mayflower Compact and the Declaration of Independence, but they have dismembered God’s Holy Book to fit their theological persuasions of doctrines of men whom Christ condemned, Mark 7:8-9.

For thousands of years man has been writing his own rules for living, which contradict God’s Word. The result has been and always will be chaotic. In the first sin of fratricide, God and Cain talked directly face-to-face, no intermediaries, no theologians, pastors or Bible teachers to interpret to Cain what God said. There was no one to blame for misinterpreting what God said; no one to blame for not taking God’s direct counsel. So my question to you is, whose fault is it for what has happened in America for over 200 years?

Ideas develop beliefs. Beliefs develop actions that create culture. Cain’s evil action brought him curses. God has not changed! Rejection to God’s Word and the accumulation of sin with no sign of repentance can never expect anything to go well.

Why did God reject Cain’s offering? Without reading too much into it let us keep it simple. Cain’s offering was rejected not because it was the product of Cain’s agricultural labor, rather because of his bad attitude toward God and life. Contrary to many interpretations Abel’s offering was more of a good heart attitude rather than his animal sacrifice. Ideas do have consequences and Cain’s ideas were opposite to God’s.
