People Make Gods of Their Rulers

April 20, 2015
Whether people understand it or not they make gods of other people, and they pay dearly to keep them in a position of power.  The area where this is the most obvious, and on a larger scale, is in civil government. How does God see this and what does He do about it?

Those who teach that we are no longer under God’s moral law and that the homosexual lifestyle is acceptable, they should also consider if they are in agreement that we should not condemn lying, theft, murder, false witness, vengeance, incest, and bestiality, after all, God’s moral law condemns those human behaviors as well. Sinful nature needs redemption; Jesus accomplished reconciliation with God at the cross. So don’t be deceived, loving our neighbor does not mean approval of lifestyles that God disapproves.

The parable of the Good Samaritan teaches us not only that true love of humans knows no distinction of nationality or creed, but that this genuine philanthropy may be exhibited by ones involved in belief that is in grave error, or neglected by those whose belief is sound but not applying it.

How do we define who is our neighbor? There are many definitions but how we arrive at which is the correct one? This is very important if we are to carry out the command to love our neighbor from the perspective of God and not as we want to interpret this requirement.

Jesus is often quoted as saying we are to love our neighbor, let us go to the source and learn from Him who is the quoted authority on the subject. We need to consider what he said from different angles to get the full meaning and let us see if we are on His side or on the invented version of man.

Christians are constantly attacked when they oppose agendas contrary to God’s moral absolutes. We are reminded by the ungodly and those who pretend to be of the “Christian fold” not to “judge others' lifestyles,” “where is your Christian love,” they say, “that is unchristian,”  “divisive and unloving,” “bigots,” “racists,” and so many insults that are hurled at Biblical Christians. What is the true meaning then of loving our neighbor as ourself?

To have the mind of Christ says it all, we are responsible to develop it and make meaningful contributions throughout our lifetime here on earth. The mystical experience of wanting to develop the consciousness of God through mere mental methods only leads to greater delusion and disappointment.

Does the Bible support the practice of "Christian mysticism"? Mysticism is not the experience of a Christian. Christian doctrine maintains that God dwells in all Christians and that they can experience God directly through belief in Jesus, Christian mysticism aspires to apprehend spiritual truths inaccessible through intellectual means. The Bible tells us that Christ-likeness is achieved only by dying to self - not by self-effort - and that spiritual truth is discerned as guided by the indwelling Holy Spirit, who lives in all believers and He strictly adheres to Scripture. Do not be deceived! Study to show yourself approved.

Human intellect can never comprehend the meaning of life, the world, and Christ's redemption for humanity which includes all of God's creation. To be Christ-like we must deny ourselves; we trade the old for the new but never to pursue a mystical experience. If we want to experience God we must live out the life. "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me." Matthew 16:24

There is in the human heart a yearning to know God; our Creator... the problem has been how to get to that place of uncontaminated knowledge of Him. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me.
And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children," Hosea 4:6.

Most Christians are desperate to find a meaningful life; they want answers to all the problems they face, including national and world problems. They are tired and confused of hearing so many contradicting doctrines. Their spiritual hunger is not satisfied and they feel their church is not leading them in an exciting life experience so they are open to anything that will thrill them, even if unknowingly it leads them to greater bondage and further away from God. What is this unbiblical trend that is infiltrating the church?

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
