February 3, 2009
If civil government can solve all social problems then someone has to explain why so many great civilizations and great nations of the past have collapsed.

Has the prosperity of America caused it to become greedy, sloppy and unwatchful in the principles that made her great? Our freedoms are threatened by deep rooted economic problems. What can we learn from past civilization where this has happened before?

Since we are to be administrators of the earth, is a nation’s money tied to God's justice? Are we facing the consequences of multi-generational financial disobedience?

Most likely, you have heard the phrase that we cannot legislate morality. The motive behind that statement is to silence the Christians who oppose immoral behavior. Those who hate biblical principles scream at the top of their lungs that we should not impose our morality on others. Does that mean that politics are immune from immorality? Does it mean that when we vote we must bypass the terrible effects of immorality and simply trust the laws passed by the executive powers, Congress, the Supreme Court, and other state laws? Can Christians separate their conscience from their vote in every day life? Even though many Christians do so, it is a reproach to the moral character of God.

The church has lost credibility but that does not mean that she cannot get back on the right track as she returns to the God of the Bible and acknowledges that God's wrath is upon us and it can come even harder if God's people do not return to righteousness.

-George Washington, First Inaugural Address, April 30, 1789 "The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained." 219 years after Washington made that statement we have a better understanding of his words, that is of course, if we are honest enough to acknowledge the true condition of this country.

In spite of the fact that there are warning signs all around us with our culture crumbling on every side, it seems that Christians are oblivious and are carrying on their lives business as usual and living in denial or complacency expecting God to do by himself all that is needed. They are not reading the warning signs of judgment that are upon us.

"There exists in the economy and course of nature, an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness; between duty and advantage; between the genuine maxims of an honest and magnanimous policy, and the solid rewards of public prosperity and felicity; since we ought to be no less persuaded the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right." --George Washington

What a man says and what a man does should send red flags when words and actions are not in agreement. Such is the case in the content of Obama's inaugural address. Example: "Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age." Is he setting the example of this by spending between $150 and $170 million on his inauguration celebration?

America has a new president. Let us analyze the content of his inaugural address to better understand what we can expect from an Obama presidency. America is it's people and we are all responsible for it's failures and successes. To assure our success, America needs all of us to contribute.

In this program you will become acquainted with some quotes of past presidents that impacted the nation greatly. By their own words we are reminded the caliber of men who formed this nation and that are desperately needed at the helm of this country once again.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
