Developing a Christ-like Mind Part 3

July 19, 2010
How am I going to let my mind be influenced? This is question we must all answer constantly every day. From the moment we come in contact with God's knowledge everything changes. An example of this is the conversation recorded in Matthew 16:15-22 "Who do you say that I am?" How can truth and deception flow from the same mind like it did from Peter? How can we avoid falling into the same dangerous trap?

Man’s philosophical view of life is crumbling and it won't be long until everything he has proclaimed to be truth collapses. God’s foundational knowledge since creation of the universe and earth is still here and it is the opportunity for the new generation of biblical Christians to rebuild the world.

It becomes clearer that having a new life in Christ Jesus implies the development of a new nature in order to become like him. The Gospels give us insight on how the mind of Christ functioned while on earth that we may not be misled into thinking that it is impossible to be like Jesus; our desire and commitment is to accept Christ’ offer to learn from him.

The difference between Adam, Eve and Jesus is that Jesus remained faithful to the Word of God. His love and obedience to do the will of the Father was deep and unshakable by circumstances. Jesus made it very clear that his mind and action were centered in God's ideas. He demonstrated that this was his total protection to not fall into sin or out of the Father's will. We are to follow his example to be triumphant in our own lives.

Perfect minds like Adam and Eve's minds who knew the Word of God decided to change their source of knowledge and embrace Satan's ideas. History clearly reveals the contrast in the consequences of applying Satan's worldview and God's worldview.

Not all who call themselves Christians are the sons of God. The requirement is what the apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Romans 8:14, "for all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God." Both natures are battling in our minds. There is a big difference in what we call ourselves and who is leading our life.

It is a shame to have to admit that Christianity was confronted and overwhelmingly defeated in the Twentieth Century because the church was infected with irrationality. There is no hope for the world unless and until irrationality is totally defeated by biblical Christians.

What is this thing called the mind? Why are we affected by the ideas that dominate our mind? For thousands of years man has studied the ability of the mind with great passion. It has been the quest of many to understand the contrast between truth and error in relation to the meaning of life, morality and the world and how we are affected by it. If it affects us so powerfully shouldn't we learn how to control it?

We are at war against those who hate America’s past and for decades have been working very hard to destroy it. Now with great success they are changing the nation leading her to cultural death by imposing the socialistic-Marxist worldview. Once again history demands that citizens take control of America’s future if it is to remain free and as a beacon of hope for the rest of the world. The time is now to stop being apathetic and join those citizens who are waking up and are determined to take the nation back. As you celebrate the Fourth of July keep in mind America’s past, present and future and decide what is the legacy you are giving to the next generations.

Once Paul could better understand God’s law and the prophets in relation to Jesus and the rest of humanity through his new life in Christ. It was clear to him God’s plan started before the foundations of the world when God made the decision to give new life in the Spirit to those who accepted His beloved Son. It is also clear God’s offer does not apply to the unbeliever, impossible. Does this mean that God predestined some people to be condemned?

If we believe in the theory of evolution then nothing makes any sense and nothing matters because you can't do anything about anything, after all you are just evolving. But if you believe that we are created beings by Almighty God then everything makes perfect sense because we can clearly see the intricate design in all of creation that could not have come from a mere accident or randomness. God knew we needed objective lessons on how to live to our full potential and that is why he sent us in the person of Jesus Christ His perfect example. Hence the calling to imitate Him in all things to reach our full potential.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
