Church and Politics Part 13

October 13, 2010
The church is to train God's people. The church's functions are so dynamic and full of life when her teachings are well balanced, God centered, Christ centered and led by the Holy Spirit; the church can then worship God with clear understanding springing from the maturity of the believers. In turn, people develop a tremendous desire to serve the cause and purpose of the kingdom of God here on earth, with a prophetic voice exposing the evils and sinful nature of human behavior which, if left unchecked, destroys entire communities and nations.

Do not buy into the lie or the social pressure when they say "Christians should not judge others on moral issues." It is obvious that these "judgers" want to judge but not be judged. When they say that Christians should not judge the behavior of others yet they consider themselves free to judge the judging that Christians do; it's absurd!

We have mentioned the Bible teaches the concept that the church should provide and function in as court of justice to settle disputes, sin and discrepancies among the brethren. Such is the case Paul mentions in I Corinthians 5:1-13 among other biblical examples. Does this shock you?

Do you know that the church is supposed to be the prophetic voice in the nation? God established the church to be the gatekeeper and to sound the alarm when attacks come against God's people and their social order. Christians need to have a better understanding of this.

When Jesus was having the last Passover with the disciples, before his betrayal, a discussion arose among them in relation to which one was the greatest and Jesus answered let the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as one who serves. It is time for Christians to understand that service and authority are one and the same with God.

Did you know that the church is called upon to ask God's blessings on civil government who honors God's law? But also we are to pray negative sanctions on those civil servants who violate God's law. Does that statement surprise you? It might since God's character has not been taught rightly in much of today's pulpits.

Have you ever considered the value of worshiping God? Why do you think Satan asked Jesus to worship him? When people stop worshiping God everything goes bad. The church needs to be reminded that worship to God shapes world history and that it is vital to bring about changes. Does that statement surprise you?

What is the value of worshiping God? What does it mean to glorify and worship the Lord? One thing is certain it does not mean to get mystical or mythical about it. Throughout centuries many Christians have misunderstood the true meaning and value of worshiping God as they have taken out of context what the Bible clearly teaches. It is time that we reevaluate this perspective.

When the church consistently teaches people about God's righteousness and how it applies to every sphere of life; the impact is strongly evident on culture. Those who founded the United States accepted that the Bible is authoritative on everything and that there is not one single area of human development that is not touched by the Word of God. They were unwavering in their belief!

We have mentioned that the church is broken—if you want to put it in a different perspective—the church is in bondage; it is not as free as most Christians are made to believe. The religion of humanism has rendered the church and her teachings irrelevant for the present and the future of the human race. Why and how did this happen? Because the church failed to teach the full council of God’s revealed truth.

Before the War Between the States, Christianity was encouraged by the civil government to function according to biblical principles. Then in 1861, the radical Unitarians were able to convince the courts that the civil arena should remain indifferent to the church. In 1961 the civil government turned their backs on the original American system of checks and balances with a judicial declaration that it was up to the states to level all religious faiths. By 1963 the courts were promoting and protecting a new religion “humanism.” We certainly know what has happened since then.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
