Christians: Moving Onward! Part 4

November 20, 2008
We cannot continue to accept the defeatist mentality that is predominant in most of Christianity. The church cannot be silent forever and not speak against all the evils that produce immorality and corruption. We must hold Christian leadership accountable for their lack of thorough teaching and deficient social action.

It is this truth of Jesus' authority that motivated his disciples and all other believers to go to the different nations up until this present time. This truth also causes the personal transformation by the power of the Spirit of God and moves us to carry on the commands of God; to disciple nations. It was, is and always will be a tremendous excitement for the simple fact that God chooses to accomplish great things through his people.

Negativism, pessimism and the sky is falling mentality should never be part of a true Biblical Christian. The fact that Christ conquered sin at the across, death when he rose from the grave and ascended into heaven should be enough motivation for Christians to think about life and the world in a more positive, optimistic and hopeful way.

Prior to the elections many churches and Christian organizations were encouraging Christians to pray for the 2008 election, asking God not to allow the extreme left to win the presidency, the U.S. Congress, state Congress, and some governorships. God denied those requests. Now it’s time to understand why God denied us those prayers and why he answered in a much different way.

In closing this topic “the family is the mirror of the nation” there is so much that we could have covered considering the many cultural battles we are facing in this time of humanistic tyranny; it is a reminder that we have to understand God’s Ministry to individuals, families and political action. In this series we pointed out how the Scriptures and only the Scriptures give us clear direction for effective action.

"With a proper sense of your dependence on God, nobly defend those rights which Heaven gave and no man out to take from us.!--MASSACHUSETTS PROVINCIAL CONGRESS RESOLUTION, 1774. Do you like having rights the government cannot take away? If you do, then those rights must come to you from a power “higher” than government.

In this third part of our topic we will consider a biblical example of the benefits of a functional family. The Bible mentions Issachar, one of Jacob’s sons and his descendents who became numerous but most important they were godly. Throughout centuries Issachar’s family remained faithful to God’s principles and built a reputation for understanding God’s ways: "Of Issachar, men who had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do! (1 Chronicles 12:32).

When people are overtaken by fears and uncertainty their capacity to discern the times and the things they ought to do are blurred in their minds. They begin to demand change. We see how Samuel's family not only failed the people but also failed God. We also see how the people forgot their own history of how they had become a free nation in a new land with God as their King for over 300 years. When a nation gets in trouble it's not only the family who has lost sight of God but also the nation.

After the election and Obama’s victory, millions of people are frightened for their future because of his Marxist worldview they just don’t know what the future might bring. Are their fears and uncertainty justified?

Most blacks feel proud that one of their own has arrived to the highest office in the world and with that arrival the racist perception of black inferiority is history. The problem with Obama is not that he is black, it is his ideology that is so twisted and far away from that of the founding fathers. He truly does want a different America.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
