Christians Are Responsible For The Nation's Well-being, Part 5

October 17, 2014
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!" Psalm 33:12. "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is their duty – as well as privilege and interest – of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” - John Jay, Founding Father, and First Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

Because Jesus exposed the forces of evil and rendered them powerless, we, the believers now have access to that same power. "Evil is powerless if the good are unafraid..." -Ronald Reagan

Christians are discouraged from participating in politics, even by misusing the Scriptures. They are told that victory through politics cannot bring social stability, therefore, it is useless or hopeless to engage in them. Christians have heard that politics are dirty therefore God has no interest in politics. We cannot deny that politics are dirty but to say that God is not interested in this important aspect of society is a grave error with terrible consequences.

In politics, people position themselves to the right, left or center. Christians are not exempt, and they should side with God’s absolutes in all areas of life without wavering. The Truth of God’s Word is the only source of Revelation knowledge to establish a solid society.

No one bears greater responsibility for the condition of the nation and the world than Christians. The United States was founded as a Christian nation, and no other worldview can offer the best outcome for the present and future generations. A closer look at human history reveals a constant search for change through many means, which have brought death and devastation, but also, when that change is based upon biblical principles much good is the outcome.

Acts 17:26 says, "And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place." Sin is a divider in all cultures and repentance from sin unites true Christianity. With this in mind, God’s people must view culture through God’s full counsel, and must be motivated to manifest it in their lives and their sphere of influence. People create culture and the most logical thing to do is to expect that people with a new life in Christ will transform culture.

What is your understanding of multiculturalism? Can you single out any nation, civilization or empire that was able to consolidate their future by encouraging multiculturalism? If your answer is yes, you are all alone because 6,000 years of human history reveal the opposite is true. This is a fact; multiculturalism has never worked for the betterment of any society. It begins like a great romance and gradually works up to a violent commotion of destruction.

There is no place in the world where we can go that there would be no conflict and adversity. No one is exempt or able to avoid adversity. It is of utmost importance to understand who we have become in Christ here and now, not only when we go to heaven. True Christians throughout history need understanding about the gifts of the Holy Spirit, just as much as the early disciples did and used them to express the Fullness of the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. As believers, God has equipped us to be overcomers and become the kind of people He wants us to be.

Understanding what Peter wrote to the Christians two thousand years ago will better equip us to face adversity. He said in I Peter 5:9-11,"Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you. To him be the dominion forever and ever. Amen."

The adversary, the devil, is God's enemy and the staunchest enemy of the human race as well. He is the ultimate source of all persecution: "Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour." I Peter 5:8

America, as well as every individual, must become humble in the sight of the Lord because we have offended Him by how we have separated ourselves so far from His ethics and God will not keep silent indefinitely. We should not be so arrogant as to think we can come up with greater wisdom than His on how all things should be done. All principles are tested and we must respond in the face of each one to reap the reward. No one is an exempted from this process.

About The Future of America

We want to help restore America's original foundation in biblical Christian principles which made it the most powerful and prosperous nation in the world in a relatively short time but America has not reached it full potential. Ideas have consequences and they are passed on from generation to generation. To eradicate error, the moral and ethical principles of the Bible must be firmly established in the hearts and minds of each individual. If America is going to survive, its citizens must become re-acquainted with its history, heritage and biblical immovable principles and apply them once again to all areas of life. We hope this program will inspire and challenge you so together we can fulfill our responsibility before God and country to make the difference for our generation many generations to come.
