En el antiguo pacto, el pueblo de Dios, debía acudir a los sacerdotes y a los sacrificios para poder acercarse a un Dios lejano, vivían atemorizados y esperando el perdón de sus pecados por medio de acciones y personas específicas. En el nuevo pacto comprendemos que Jesús es el sacerdote y ofrenda perfecta que rompe la barrera entre Dios y los hombres.
